The totally off-topic thread

I read it today after googling "How do race horses fly" and thought it was perfectly appropriate for here

Anyone who Googles 'How do race horses fly?' definitely has too much time on their hands ;):p. Everyone knows they fly on MASAs .

I know the people concerned & the tone of their posts are quite clear. I'll be interested to follow the mood & what happens.

Where do we draw the line with animals? No more sniffer dogs? No more police horses? No show jumping? No more seeing eye dogs?

Interesting topic.

It's a very easy line to draw. You just have to draw it. Profit. Unless for food purposes and must involve humane treatment. So I'm also against the live animal trade unless humane treatment is guaranteed.

You weren't consulting Dr Google, were you? ;) :p

I know a guy who has got some mental issues. For weeks, he was talking about going to the doctor & getting some medication prescribed.

He went to the doctor, got the medication & then refused to take it, citing concerns about side effects.

I know when he has copied & pasted something because they are spelt correctly. I don't know of a non medical professional who would know how to spell what he called the medication & the words he pasted with it (the main ingredients?).

Hopefully now he has started to take the meds he will see some benefits because being unmedicated clearly isn't working.

This is how DHL workers handle your parcels in Adelaide.

What's the point of a transfer counter if you cannot get a boarding pass any time? I can understand check-in counters but transfer counters?

Waiting for staff to turn up. Must be on their way! Still waiting.

Dr Google is such a 'wonderful' consultant or a totally biased adviser. i love it when patiets come in with 100pages off dr google and expect to go thru them all in 30-45minutes and still expect to be bulk billed for the 'experience'

Correct medhead,

Let's not let the truth get in the way of a good story :!:

Todays sunrise and sunset times

Brisbane:
Sunrise: 0500
Sunset: 1803
13 hrs and 3 min of daylight.

Sydney:
Sunrise: 0559
Sunset: 1919
13 hrs and 19 min of daylight.

Melbourne:
Sunrise: 0618
Sunset: 1950
13 hrs and 31 min of daylight.

Essentially what JohnK said.

No, not what he said at all. It is not DARK at 6pm if the sun sets at 6:03 pm.

I thought this discussion was over days ago.

I'm just presenting the facts to address the opinion that was thrown at me. You don't need to reply.

Aradlo has been euthanised. :(

Spare a thought for the people who handle and care for these horses 24/7, the Japanese team were devastated as are Mike and crew.
All arguments aside, there is nothing worse than not taking your beloved horse home from the races...

I need to convince Mr Katie weshould be a two car family again. His car has lived at his parents' house since Jan 2011, registered and insured. We have only used mine since then.

I'm home sick & need to go to the physio & so will be getting a taxi there & back, as he had my car.

Though, I probably shouldn't be driving, so perhaps it's OK after all???!!??

I wasn't able to print some itineraries in HKG yesterday. Sad trend for airline lounges.

Was that because of no fixed PCs or no printer? If PCs go, surely they'll have capability to print directly from your own device over WiFi?

How Australia might have looked.

Printing didn't work in the Wing. Plaza premium has some desktops but no printer.

I gave up. I don't want to to use air print and emailing PDFs is coughbersome.

See if I can do some printing at Holiday Inn Chiang Mai later today.

More shades of red being applied...they are almost home and hosed.
