First super chilly morning in London. Gloves are out... Clear skies and sunshine at least (yes, right in my eyes as I sat on the wrong side of the train)! Not a problem oft had... ;)

Weather here is down to single digit ranges (max/min); some forecast ahead shows a creep back up to maximums of 10-12 degrees C, but still with precipitation on the horizon anyway. That plus wind ensures that it is far colder and it cuts harder than it would have you to believe.

'tis ridiculously cold here. I have an under shirt, shirt, pullover and jacket on, plus scarf. Having just recovered from a bout of flu, I am not taking much chances. That said, I still need to keep the window to my office open to let fresh air in.

My flat mates tell me that this kind of weather isn't even close to winter typical. Oh dear God.....

I was about to commit, but if you're already sorted I can decide tomorrow :p

Don't let me hold you back ;)

I think I am sorted this time. Although I'm open to invitations in the future :)

Let me know if you're going to pop down. Or if you can't make it, but still want a quick pre-match beer elsewhere.

Would anyone like a new watch? It comes with a dual band emergency beacon. And "Its case features construction that entails an especially complex machine".

At €15,790 one would hope that it isn't single use only.

It's not so much the temperature or the wind - its the dampness in the air that makes a difference.

The bone-numbing aching of London in December/January.

Going from the UK at 3-10 degrees each Dec/Jan to Austria above 1,100m in the snow at -12 to -3 sees us being hot with fewer layers.

Have a look for gloves that draw the moisture away from the skin - makes a big difference to the sentence!

Having grown up somewhere with colder winters I can understand what you're going through.

And people still ask why I live in Australia :p
