Well I want some because I've never had any before!

There's pretty much no fruit in chocolate here in Switzerland. There is raisin and nut chocolate, but it is usually marketed as for tourists.

Care packages can be arranged!

My sister loves ice cream; that's her food weakness.

We only went to one food establishment twice when we went to Melbourne together before I left Australia. That place was Messina Gelato.

There's one coming to Qld ... Goldie, I think ...

I have a large pack in the pantry

I have seen a post on FB regarding a Nippy's Fruchoc flavoured drink - I hope it isn't a hoax!

Had a Nippy's Choc milk on the way home tonight :D

Got to get to ADL and partake of all these good "foods" on offer

I thought I'd go to the baseball tonight in Australia for the first time ever. It was rained out.

I did get to sit next to someone during the 3 & 1/2 hour rain delay that I'm rather fond of so that's a bonus.

I was surveyed for Qantas yesterday. Most questions were covering Qantas domestic flying.

That's like saying an airline is an airline. Flying Tiger soon then JohnK?
In theory all aircraft should be the same.

I have flown Tiger and will fly them again. What worries me is their last minute airfares are way too expensive. Close to what you pay on a full service carrier.

Seriously what is wrong with Australia where they can get away with this sort of practice. One can purchase last minute airfares in Thailand and SE Asia in general cheaply.

I'm not sure what McNair were after but I gave both Qantas and Virgin pretty good marks in the survey.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to have a meeting with my manager to start part time work. To him, I'll be working 4 days a week instead of 5, probably no big deal.

But for me, it's a big deal. I want to work Monday - Thursday only instead of a 24/7/365 rotating roster. As a classic example, I worked every day over the Xmas/NY period except Boxing Day.

It's not uncommon for me to work between 8 - 12 days straight - and this is without doing overtime.

I don't want to change my role but the long stretches are difficult. I'm trying to look after my housebound mum & keep some work/life balance to keep some sort of sanity. The balance is well in work's favour. If I have to lose a day a week & weekends to have the balance I've never had, it will be worth it.

Hope it works out for you.

I too am in a 24/7/365 industry and the only permanent shifts are nights. Everybody else does rotating shifts except for people with special circumstances who can have a 10 week run on their required shift and then get reviewed. Pregnancy is covered for the duration.

As someone in a specialised role at the moment the number of women on day shift means I might only do 2-3 day shifts in a four week cycle. :( A weekend off is virtually unknown again for the same reasons.
