Totally off-topic this was yesterday

And this is today

Can't see either picture but would love to :)

So one way to garner interest in a post is to put up a broken-link jpg and give it an interesting byline....

Just realised we will be in Paris for the last day of the Tour de France. We've watched that ride up the Champs Élysées for years. No doubt this year will be marked by terrorist risk.

Tour down under is ramping up here in Adelaide. I don't think they've ever had wet weather.

I expect to post some pix of cars being swamped by pelatons of professional riders this week. But it's the wannabes in Lycra who do the most risky things.

Not looking forward to playing dodgems this weekend...

Yip!

The image URL's appear to be corrupted "Fake URL"??

Not quite - by the URL I suspect some facet of vBulletin or a vBulletin extension has intercepted the image URL and nullified it - likely misinterpreting the original links.

With United and AA both having hackers going for joy rides on someone's points I do suggest you always keep your boarding passes secure and not in the seat pocket.

Here I was thinking the world was conspiring against me again this morning

The alarm woke me at 8:10am and I thought strange mum hasn't called. Turn on my computer and notice computer time is 8:15am but gadget with Brisbane time is 7:15am. Check Brisbane time on Google and sure enough it is 7:15am. Go into alarms on phone and get out and time has updated to correct Brisbane time. Hmmm.

Did a couple of things on computer and as I am going overseas tomorrow wanted to back them up on USB. So try to use USB and not functioning. Then I remembered I had bought another USB recently. Get laptop bag out of cupboard and a second later I hear a crash and liquid is everywhere on floor. The duty free had fallen out of cupboard and the vodka bottle broke. :( So much for going to work early.

P.S someone arrived at work at 7:00am or 1 hour earlier. Shows you how much people rely on gadgets.

The world was not against you, just Optus that decided it had been long enough in Queensland without daylight savings so decided to introduce it for their customers, updating their phones to Sydney time.

Actually it is Australian Eastern Daylight Savings time, not Sydney time. Sydney is not Australia!

You're spoiling my conspiracy theory. ;)

You see, the computer's are closer to a singularity (becoming self aware) and even they have they concluded QLD should adopt daylight savings time.

I like this reworked version of a Outkast song, however the clip shows Sydney Harbour Bridge like ten times, Ayers Rock once but nothing of the 12 Apostles and I think nothing of the barrier reef. Sydney centric view of Australia.

And just to do your head in JohnK - Mercury is about to go retorgrade:

Mercury is the messenger, and in this time, the delivery is warped or the message gets lost en route. Some people find that their computers go on the fritz or phone lines go down. If you're at all jittery about it, go ahead and back up your important files. A major cause of stress at Mercury retrograde is frustration from mishaps, things breaking down, computers going black
