We're heading out to the Barossa both Friday and Saturday... I don't like bikes at the best of times so this may not help my feelings. A bit like my dislike of Camrys, which was severely exacerbated by last weeks hit and run on my car

We are going to the Farmers Markets at Angaston first thing Saturday, then on to Taste Eden Valley Regional Wine Room to Rockford Wines & Turkey Flat Vineyard.

Have booked a Group P - Holden SV6, hope we don't end up with Camry.

Stop by at the Maggie Beer farm while at Angaston. She usually pops into the market as well scurrying around for good produce and bargains. Her salted caramel sauce is amazing.

We bought some yummy chilli chocolates at the markets. Spices and lots of chutneys etc. and plenty of organic fruit. Quite busy.

I ended up in an ambulance last night (gallstones it seems), thought I might have been lucky enough to looked after by Princess Fiona, but I was taken to the Mater and I have a suspicion that she works at the other hospital.

Rockford said the basket press Shiraz would be released at the cellar door sometime in January. Picked up black Shiraz 30 days ago from there. If it's on the cellar door menu it's available for sale.

My apologies to readers for the two photos not posting earlier. I am unsure as to why they did not appear. Sorry about that. John.

Working nowhere right at the moment - she's on holiday in Queenstown or thereabouts, lucky Princess :). Hope she's giving those Otago Pinots a run...

What year? The 2011 Basket Case is available at the Stonewaller log-in but I'm not at home and can't remember if 2011 was last year's or new for now.

As a non-Stonewaller that is good to know but not exactly helpful. Some of us have to wait until stonewallers have first go and this stuff is released to the public. ;) Was just giving a heads up for those planning to visit on Saturday. It would be current vintage, I'm not going to guess the year and too lazy to dig out my newsletter.

Ouch

I had a ladyfriend over for a date - cooked her dinner... Jamie Oliver recipe for neck of lamb. It was delicious.

She was up at 2am violently ill... by 5pm doubled up in pain in the foetal position on my bathroom floor.

I put my gentlemanly valour cap on, and told her I was taking her to hospital despite her protestations - she was admitted 6am and didn't come out for 4 days... gall bladder/pancreatitys.

Hell of a date.

I don't envy you - cos it seemed acutely painful.

Yes, worst pain I have ever experienced. I couldn't stay still, nothing helped. Luckily it eased off quite quickly for me after a couple of hours.

The worst part, our beautiful 10 yr old boy thought I was dying. Mr Feezable had a hard time consoling him on their way to the hospital. Our 13 year old is at a Surf Lifesaving leadership camp and is completely unaware of the dramas at home.

The Best part, my blood pressure, ecg, blood sugar and blood test results were all great. My family has serious heart problems everywhere; mum, younger brother, uncle, grandparents and somehow it skipped me.

I had a bowl of cereal 3pm yesterday and the pain returned 75% for 3hrs. A piece of fruit at 8pm was Ok. Looks like I will be losing some weight. As the ER doctor said I am in the demographic for gallstones "female, forties, fertile, fair and fat". To give you an idea how fat, I have been buying size 16 clothes lately.

Slept well last night. Today is a new day :)

.... gall bladder/pancreatitys.
I had gall bladder issues and pancreatitis courtesy of chicken pox ~4 years ago. I will never forget the doubling over in extreme pain and not being able to walk more than 5-6 paces without a break.

Still hurts thinking about it.

Was there a second date?

Absolutely! She was stuck in a hospital 75km from home, so I visited her each night after work... (no , that wasn't the 2nd date!) Whilst I wasn't "responsible", she needed someone to be there for her, so I did the right thing (and again about a month later, when she went and had the gall bladder removed) We dated for about 4 months, but the differing ages of our children made a long term relationship impractical - but we remain the very best of friends... and have had lamb since, with no ill effects!

Pancreatitis is recognised as one of the most painful conditiond. Dare I say that this was recognised by a male who'd not given birth? I can't comment - I've experienced neither. :p

I did have a simple gallstone attack once. But not requiring hospital. And while I'm fair, female I'm not fat but was in my forties. I guess men don't get gallstones then?

First time for everything.

After SYD First Lounge waiting on bus to get out to stand off gate. Saw a boarding pass for 50E. Is that on the wing somewhere?

Bloody 2.6% surcharge at the school uniform shop on eftpos from my savings account! Is that even legal?
