Bloody 2.6% surcharge at the school uniform shop on eftpos from my savings account! Is that even legal?

That sucks. And given their turnover, their fees on a debit card would be really low. It isnt a credit card!

Have a family member who wants to 'Build Their Own eComerce Web Site'.

Any of you good AFF folk actually gone through the process of researching, selecting, building, operating an effective working ecommerce web site through one of the template providers like wix, godaddy, template monster etc? Thoughts? Experiences?

Sounds like some (mainly fast food) stores charging a surcharge on EFTPOS cards for purchases under a certain amount.

OK fantastic - how was / is the process? On going fees?

Pretty easy. I paid a designer to add a template to make it look pretty. The cart system is basic but does the job. $USD12.95 a month and the service is fantastic (better than what I got with an Aussie company that ripped me off).

I designed my own too and I think it looked rather good. Most hosting services provide a template in the package. Like Blackcat suggested, I did similar by getting a designer to design a logo.

Going for the Angus Young AC/DC look are you medhead? please wear on Saturday night

It was a baseball cap. ;) But I could borrow one of their pinafores. Not even Angus has tried to pull off that look.

$13.30, slightly more than the usual $10 limit. But the guy before me was charge $1 something for a $50 purchase using a credit card. Given the profit they make on school uniforms it is a bit rude really.

Set myself a limit of 2Kg weight gain for our 6 week trip.So home now and gain was 400gm.
Going to the gym must work.:D:cool:

What year? The 2011 Basket Case is available at the Stonewaller log-in but I'm not at home and can't remember if 2011 was last year's or new for now.

As a non-Stonewaller that is good to know but not exactly helpful. Some of us have to wait until stonewallers have first go and this stuff is released to the public. ;) Was just giving a heads up for those planning to visit on Saturday. It would be current vintage, I'm not going to guess the year and too lazy to dig out my newsletter.

2011 is the current release.

Remember 2010 was the "rare chance release", which was released with a year of bottle age.

If it's a small business then PayPal is the way to go. The fine print on getting a merchant credit card is eye watering. Lots of traps that should be avoided.

No the merchant facility is not a problem - it's just the online ecommerce area that is a bit unknown

If you've got a merchant card already it's easy to sort. Just make sure the website has ssl security. It's an add on to a basic website.
