Thank you PF, I respect you so very much from this forum. I will follow your advice and when Marcus gets back from the beach we will head over the Mater.

Our 13 year old is doing his Surf Rescue Certificate this morning - on dry land - beaches are closed again because of sharks. The thing that the news isn't reporting is that the Lifeguards keep finding dolphins washed up on the beach with very large bites taken out of them.

I'm pleased to hear that. We have to be our own best advocate for health. I don't like jaundice symptoms from personal experience.

Geez. I'm sitting in my car at Airport to collect my son from Air Asia and this doofus just parks and bumps into me. Felt a bump. He then backed back a bit.

The guy clearly has no idea how big his truck is.

Went out for a drink with workmates tonight. 2 pints of fortified beer (> 10%) and I'm feeling it. My head is like a military parade going on inside.

God I'm getting old......
You just need to practice more :p

In which case, the Japanese tourists will feel right at home.

(sorry, but that practice at The Cove is just abhorrent)

we've seen the pictures here in QLD. Totally agree you need to go back to your initial hospital.

Saw that when I turned on Fox Sports whilst packing. Given he missed the cut, I can understand him being at a bar. Hopefully the CCTV footage assists in finding the perpetrators.

Turns out you can't just flash your card at the QP desk and walk in. Well at least not for me :p

I'm not that sorta guy usually, but thought I'd give it a shot, and it didn't work. Mustn't have looked confident enough I suppose. I'm flying VA today.

This is a bizarre story and will be interesting to see it unfold.

I've always had my card checked.

I've always had my card checked.

Generally I find that they check your QP card and BP, but sometimes there is a just a glance and they wave you through. Guess it depends on personnel, lounge capacity etc.

I had a 2 hour earlymark in the early hours of Saturday morning at work. My belt buckle broke & I've only had the new uniform for a month & a half.

As I explained to the train controller straight after it happened, I was ok when sitting down. But if I had to climb down the ladder to reach the ground - like I would have needed to do later that night to put the train to bed - I would have been in an embarrassing situation.

I've also put a hazard report in about the uniform because it is too hot even on a cool day on in an air conditioned area.

Thank you for the support everyone I really needed it Saturday when trying to work out what to do. I went to initial hospital ER and have been here at the Mater since. I have an 8.9mm gallstone in my bile duct trying to get out through a 7mm opening. I am now a strange yellow colour, but my liver is holding up well and so far there is no infection. Any food sets off the pain so I am rapidly losing weight. The procedure (which I can't name) to crush the stone will be at the John Hunter on Wednesday.

This is the first time I've been able to access the internet since admission so may not be a get a signal again.

Thanks again
Fiona

Fricking lasers? LOL

I've had kidney stones & the last time, I almost needed to get them blasted out. So I feel your pain about objects coming out of where they shouldn't be.

Good luck, we're all counting on you.
