Queensland Labor leader Annastacia Palaczszuk couldn't answer that question last week when asked by a Brisbane radio station !

At least she was honest enough to admit she didn't know. If more politicians followed her lead we'd all be better off.

My son's first training session in the U11 Sydney Swans Academy is about to get underway. Proud mum. Weekly training Newcastle Uni and fortnightly trips to Sydney. This increases to weekly when he gets to U13.... I need a new car before then.

Edit... seems there are only 2 or 3 u11 in the hunter squad

Its hard enough to say her name, let alone spell it - Palaszczuk.

Is that actually the correct spelling? I thought it might have a "ck" at the end of the name. I had a teacher in school with the last name Miszczuck. I think she had a Polish name. We were all taught a way of remembering how to say it and spell it and it's stuck in my mind ever since. When I saw the "zczu" in the other name I couldn't help thinking of my teacher.

Truly is the spelling of her name. An associate of mine had dinner with her last night as her place, before her apparatchiks get a hold of her.

Here's a thought for today's useless management.

People need stability at work. Desk, line of reporting etc. If it keeps changing then people are not going to be happy. Morale drops. Productivity suffers. Right or wrong?

Change for change sake.

Desk not so much, line of reporting yes and is why I'm currently looking at a change.

On the flip side a change can be just as good. I have been on secondment within the same organization but within a different business unit. Perfect time to eradicate the complacency in the first position, press a case for the promotion and job security if I end up in my former position (wish me luck, I find out some time in February whether or not I get permanency in the second position or not).

Desk is just as important. Some people have very annoying habits and coming to work is not reason enough to stop their annoying habits.

Seriously. There has been a change involving me and I have not yet being informed of the change. That is so poor it is beyond belief. Who I report to makes no difference to me as my work will still be of the highest standard.

Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of looking for a new job as there aren't any.

I like having my own desk, I actually think its important to have your own space at work.
