Well we had the first lot of snow actually settle this morning in London (rather than melt as it hit the ground). Quite the opposite of the weather back home in PER

Is oil bottomed out just taking a breather?
Bhp pending profit announcement will increase or decrease share price?
Same with WOW?

My thoughts exactly - I bought petrol this morning and the discounted cost was 98.?c. Can't remember when it was last under a dollar. Went all out and bought 95 octane for $1.199/L

Nutty weather in PER over the last week and mad again tonight. Feels like living in a sauna/DRW.

We are not in a tropical zone here! I love heat but, to channel cove, I don't do steam .

I feel like an ice block that melts in this Darwin style weather in Perth. Four more days of it.

Oh you poor Perthites, Cove just turn up the airconditioner, Johnm, who knows if you have aircon but I guess you would.

Don't be soft, and don't bother visiting Brisbane during the summer.

I think the weather gods are acclimatizing me for my return to Brisbane.

Feels just like home.A storm at night.nothing better.

A Brisbane evening storm is nice better than these things they have in the west, although Monday nights one came close, lots of show but not much of the wet stuff.

Isn't it the employers desk?

FWIW, I've packed in my salaried job and am having a crack at running my own show, worst outcome is in 12 months I look for a new boss (with desk hopefully).

For those that are interested in the news of the day in Brisbane.

I'm with stupid, but not guilty: protester

Maybe we should have a "(in)famous AFF'er of the Day" thread ;)

Thanks for the official link,

You should organize him to turn up for our FT AGM gathering in a few weeks time, would be good to have someone famous come along, although I did read one of the attendees is a speaker at a travel function in Hong Kong.

So is this the right place to talk about the oil price and the effect on the petrol price? I couldn't find any other recent threads about it. I bought petrol today 97.7 after the 4 cent discount but before the discounted Wish cards adjustment. My partner said something about the oil price rising but I don't know when the price in petrol will be affected by it. I've been watching the Informed Sources website and I've got a graph of prices of unleaded in 6 different locations in Australia. The graph has been flat for the last week in most locations but there was a tiny tiny tiny increase in price in yesterday's average figures for some of the locations.

So that's Twitter? What a mess.

Don't judge Twitter on a single tweet.

While the rules & protocols are different, many people use Facebook in exactly the same way they'd use Twitter if they were on it.

And what do I do with this?

On my first day off in over a week & I've got my car in for a service. So to fill in time, I'm doing some shopping.

I'm pleased to say that I'll be doing my first flights in quite some time (last flight was start of September last year). There will be no AFF trip report or meetup, though. I'm meeting up with someone to see what happens. I'm also going to try to spend the weekend off social media.

Well hope everything goes well.
