Here's something extremely funny. Well it is to me anyway.

My desk was facing the wall for 4+ months and I asked a few times for them to turn the desk around. Couldn't do it. Safety issues. Someone on leave. Blah blah blah.

Less than a week after I was asked to move the desk is now facing away from wall. Inclusive culture my @rs....

Funny JohnK . Yep, it looks like the new deskee might have a better relationship with the manager than you. Might be funny to go and sit at it to "try it out".

I would've just moved it. Better to ask forgiveness than permission. The normal situation is that a workspace is allocated and it is up to you to arrange it as you prefer.

I'd submit a WHS incident report, personally. Whoever moved it have clearly undertaken an unsafe action.

That's it. Or was it Xerox? Or Kleenex? Accounting; whatever . My hearts not in it.

Delivered my MYOB files to the accountant just yesterday and now looking forward to the fact I don't have to do it again for 12 months - so I can empathise with your sentiments, RooFlyer.

Yes I did have a good laugh. To be honest the desk was much better facing away from room. I guess they were doing me a favour.

Now I have view of Brisbane's CBD, which looks really nice, but keep the blinds closed due to the glare from sun.

I just made a Paypal purchase, it happened to be from the AFF Knowledge Centre, but I don't think that's relevant I think Paypal is the issue. Within 15 minutes the Debit Mastercard I used was cleaned out by fraud transactions. I don't keep much money in that account so the 3 transactions total about $100. I found out because the Commbank sent me a text asking if a transaction was real or fraud. The suspect transaction was $2.63 and at that stage there was only $1.98 in the account. Obviously they had tried smaller and smaller amounts until they emptied it. Now waiting for a callback from the fraud team.

Yikes, I use Paypal all the time. Please keep us updated.

The accommodation we are staying at in Paris and booked through Booking.com insisted on a deposit of 1 night - the deposit was mentioned in the booking but not via paypal which I do not like. Then he said we had to pay 500 euros also through paypal. I loathe it.

Pushka, I've never been comfortable about PayPal either so have linked my CC and that's from where they can take it - rather than my bank account

Commbank says 73 attempted transactions within 30 minutes of the legitimate Paypal transaction. Card has been cancelled and it will take 2 -3 weeks for me to receive reimbursement and a letter from the bank outlining the transactions.

This is an important lesson to everyone, I could have had all my savings in that account and it would be gone for the next 2 -3 weeks, luckily this was not the case. I keep a small amount in the account to use online for just this reason.

Again, I would like to say that this is unrelated to AFF, just a big coincidence. I have checked the link I clicked on AFF and it goes to the legitimate Paypal site. It was Paypal that was hacked.

The only Paypal transaction I make is the annual AFF Gold membership fee - pity AFF doesn't have direct option for payment.

Sorry to hear that, but good you caught it in time and were not out of pocket. I would report this to Paypal and seek an explanation from them.

As you say it is definitely not an AFF thing. (We have no access to credit card information linked to your Paypal account - we get paid directly from Paypal)

Carp! I need to change my PayPal account details! I think it's linked to savings. Thanks for the story!
