Unless it is the rubbish bin in the kitchen area, in which case cleaning the walls is part of the daily duties. :(

We are not a totally paper free office.....now where did I put that toy basketball ring that used to be on top of my waste paper basket? Did it get swiped by the cleaners?

This blog post is written by a lady suffering from a medical condition that requires her to use oxygen when flying, in this post she outlines her recent Emirates experience.

Pills and Thrills: I Don't "Heart" Emirates.

Has to be the longest complaint letter ever! Plenty of seemingly legitimate points there but I think I'd have a sort of 'executive summary' at the start, and leave it up to the recipient to refer to the detail if they wish.

Anyone else here have their desk situated some distance away from the rubbish bin and attempts to throw their rubbish into said bin similar to shooting basketball hoops?

I'd hit Colleagues. Again I'm breaching media policy likely, but we have dedicated bins where rubbish needs to be sorted. My company is very environmentally responsible and everything in the office reflects that.
Ps, I love my employer.

Rod Taylor (Australian actor) dies in LA of heart attack (aged 84): No Cookies | The Courier-Mail

Those who are old enough will remember him in the The Birds (1963  ) and playing Winston Churchill in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" in 2005. He appears to have been quite the ladies man in his time...

I work in an office without rubbish bins... apparently it reduces the amount of rubbish and encourages recycling.

NB - for those who take things literally there are rubbish bins, but only in the central services/kitchen area. (e.g. not on the floor or in individual's offices).

A friends brother lives in BOS. He emailed me this comment and the story:

I spoke with my brother John yesterday who lives about 30kms west of Boston. He escaped for a couple of weeks to sunny Cabo San Lucas In Mexico. When he returned he had 100 inches of snow in the yard i.e. 8’4” or 2.45 metres. Now that’s a lot of snow. He is jealous of our weather.

Bloomberg said:
-- After lingering at 99.9 inches for a day or so, Bostonfinally passed the 100-inch barrier for snowfall this season. And normal life,so hard for weeks now, just seems to get more and more difficult.

Someone stole my rubbish bin 3-4 years ago. Hahaha.

I don't make rubbish at my desk. I can use communal bins in kitchen when necessary.

What I love about my hairdressers salon:D

It's Friday lunchtime - pity I need to have a clear head this afternoon

The location for this was Bodega Bay on Highway 1 about 80 km N of SFO. "The Birds" and Bodega Bay. Cute little town.

It is still, all these years later, a mecca for people wanting to see where the film was made and it is the central theme of the Visitor Information Centre. Very strange how some things can etch themselves into the culture.

I worked in one of those stupid offices. No bins at the desk. Got another job. Now they're moving me into the same sort of minimalist BS workspace.

The TV series Hong Kong was classic!
