Just booked two shows in Vegas and we are staying at Caesars.
I was so impressed with what Rod Stewart said when he married Rachel Hunter.....I am as happy as a dog with two d....

Anyone seen Aretha Franklin or Rod Stewart shows this year? If so ,were their shows good?

Don’t know, but Rod was on the Late late show recently.

Thanks for posting that clip whatmeworry. Maybe some AFFers will get past IN N Out and make it to Vegas for a show or three.

When my neighbour told me he +1 were going to see Rod Stewart I responded "It won't be a late night then"

Utter rot!

At Rod Laver Arena in March this year, the supporting act was James Reyne. Rod Stewart came on at 900pm and finally, after several standing ovations and encores, the lights came up at 1055pm: an absolutely brilliant non-stop two hour catalogue of all his hits from way back when. A photo from my seat mid-stage in Row C.

Seriously, in concert quality, Rod was up there with the greatest (and his gravelly voice hasn't changed much in the 40 years I've been listening to him). If you get a chance, grab tickets - he is an absolute "must see" - a consummate showman and performer.

But you've never wanted the Australian cricket team to win, ever, have you?
Wrong.

Australian cricket fanatic for as long as AB was in the team. Some heartbreaks there. And then Warne came along and all was still good.

And then came the arrogance with the inconsistency. Not a good sight.

Humility and sportsmanship go a long way.

It made a brief appearance here too. Got out on the bike and made the most of it (if a trip down to the supermarket counts?) ....... don't worry, it's gone now
A glorious blue sky morning today in Mungo/Willandra Lakes World Heritage Area. A shame I had to head home to work.

Sorry for mentioning something about aeroplanes thus being a bit ON topic but I saw this story on NoNews talking about unsolved mysteries of the air and the famous story of "Flight 19" which disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle (plus a search plane). On reading it I saw a flaw in the story. Anyone spot it? A simple googling of "flight 19" would have made a difference.

5. Flight 19
Flight 19 was the name given to a US Air Force training exercise that took place on Dec. 5, 1945, involving an Avenger Torpedo Bomber. The plane disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle with 14 airmen on board. The Air Force then sent a Mariner flying boat with 13 men on-board to attempt to find the missing aircraft. That plane also went missing. Neither of the planes, nor the 27 crew members in total, was ever seen again, and investigators could never determine the cause of either flight’s disappearance.
