Mobil (gas stations) also wont take my HSBC cards. It's odd, must be to do with who provides the EFTPOS devices not liking HSBC.

Or HSBC not liking them :)

Maybe the prefix on the card isn't be recognised or something obscure like that.

Here's something I found whilst trawling some RSS feeds:

5 Reasons Macs Can't Claim They're Better than Windows 7 | NetworkWorld.com Community

I must warn you that the comments and associated arguments (read: literal war of words) get very personal and religious. Approach with caution.

It's always religious when it comes to mac vs PC.

But I'll bite regardless... or not. Read the whole thing and realised it was just flamebait, there's no comparisons in that article, and mostly it mentions how W7 is better because they fixed Vista. Haha.

If anything, it's a comparison to previous version of Windows.

I'll read a comparison from a more reputable site/magazine, when they're both out.

Well, i later checked my account and the charge went through, then they credited me for the money. So it did work, but then cancelled at the last minute and gave me my money back. Seems pretty odd.

As I said to the cashier there, I no longer buy fuel at Mobil, so now wont shop at the Apple Store... the online store however works fine.

I won't bite other than to say it was not a bad way of stirring up the Mac community:!:

Anat0l and I just finished the Bridge to Brisbane fun run; 10kms from the gateway bridge to the show grounds. I am going to be sore tomorrow. :-|

47,000 competitors we only crossed the start line at the same time the fastest finishes had already finished.

Now off to a boat show, where I get to stand around some more. Hopefully some customers buy some of the products to make it worth while.

This boat show is in Brisbane, so didn't get to fly anywhere, but I got a heap of points in paying for it all on the visa card.

What about photos???

<picture which hurts eyes>

Not a lie at all that one.

It's easier if you use something - your mouse pointer or your finger - to slowly focus with a narrow field of vision on tracing each "circle". You should find you keep going around in circles, not in an inwards spiral.

From a distance it very much looks like a spiral.

Anyone got one of these yet?

Hmm, I think they'll be a craze reserved for school students (should be marketted as "gotta touch them all!" ala Pokemon), and won't be seriously used in corporate environments.

There will eventually be something to replace business cards (or at least supplement them). However, all technologies tried so far seem to have failed... and I think this one will too.

I'm getting my nose fixed next week, not looking forward to that either! (both pain and $$$ wise)

Thank goodness for private health insurance... helps relieve the burden a bit.

The reason I maintain private health cover is that I can get the work done when I want/need it and not be on a waiting list for 18 months, and have some choice in who does it. Does cost a bloody s**tload though!

That's exactly it. It's the small pleasures in life... it's good knowing that if you need to have some elective surgery done, you can get it done in 1-2 months rather than 1-2 years.
