Eww. Don't think they'll ever catch on, most likely due to the fact that contacts are uploaded to their web database. No one wants that.

lol, if little things like that worried people, Facebook wouldn't be used.

Well more so for the fact that we all have online systems we already use, so it's just a hassle to start fresh with their system. They want user adoption, build in support for what we already have!

The weekend was good but now its back to work, well for some of us anyway, ;)

Great win by the Brisbane Lions; what a come back. :D

I'm going into hospital this arvo - I think I'd rather go to work...

Still living like I have for the last 4-5 month hasn't been a whole lot of fun either!

Good luck with your procedures thegurio.

Best wishes for a speedy procedure and an equally quick recovery.

Good luck with the operation, I wasn't referring to you on the not going to work comment, but to those going on holiday, they know who they are. ;) I hope they have a good holiday.

To all those making an aquaintance with the knife this week-all the best.

New QF Route Map

I think as part of the website refresh, QF produced a new route map. Plan - Route Maps

The biggest difference is that it is similar to the BA route map, in that flights are shown divided by continents.

There is also the domestic route maps for Australia and New Zealand which are now on one map. The resulting map is pretty small!

What's more odd is that they have included a lot of other flights on the maps. Sure, some of them are codeshares, but many of them are operated by "Other Airlines" (which are uncharacteristically coloured in the oneworld purple). I don't understand how QF decided to put these routes on the map. Some of them have the airline specified and some don't. For example, something like Frankfurt to Split is shown as "another airline". Something like Auckland to Blenheim is clearly specified as "Airnz Link". I didn't know that QF has some NZ codeshares (I do know the vv. is true), or maybe lack there of it, but it's really confusing.

There are some quirks, for example go to the South Pacific map and click SYD-WLG. It'll say operated by Jetstar. Click WLG-SYD and it'll say Codeshare (operated by Jetconnect). Makes sense? I think not. While you're at it, re-check SYD-WLG and look at the WLG city/tourist information panel. It says "Come Te Papa" :p

Looks interesting, might be able to book cheaper flights in the future via Auckland to Queenstown, connecting on AirNZ.

One in 10 Australian men say they have had a relationship or romance with someone they sat next to on an airline flight, a survey on inflight references has found.
Women were half as likely to admit to a high-altitude fling.

Expedia.com.au ran the survey

OK who of you have ever got lucky on the plane? Maybe not the whole Ralph Fiennes experience but picked up on the plane? (Or, I guess the lounge.)

I usually tend to sit next to blokes and as my interest lies with women then I don't even try.

I'll be game and admit that I have. Yes, it was on board.

That's all you need to know - because that's all you're getting!

I'm having trouble with check my trip.

I keep getting the "mobile" version on my pc.

Is it an IE issue and is there a way around it? It worked fine until a few days ago.
