No sadly not good at it. MrP had a handicap of 9 until he broke his elbow. I lost my interest when he was told to tell me not to be on the golf course by an officious golf official when MrP was playing a few holes by himself. The officious official said women were not allowed on the course at that time. Looked around and there were other said women doing exactly what I was and they were not approached. They were wives of the committee.
Mind you, when MrP was playing in a major cricket final a group of us wives (wags?
) were standing in the members area of Adelaide Oval. A woman turned around and said "what are these women (ie non members) doing here?" Jane Inverarity (John Inverarity's wife) looked at her and told her, well, lets say she didn't squeak another word. And then had the temerity to congratulate us when the guys won.
