I find Facebook really useful for keeping in touch with people from school. People who I spent 5 or more years seeing them just about everyday, who I considered to be good friends. Not only that, growing up in Cairns adventures where had on weekends, reef trips, climb up waterfalls, taking in the local swimming holes, scouts, whitewater stuff. And I even socialise with them in real life, something that never would've happened without Facebook. They would've been lost to me. I also keep in touch with people with whom I previously had deep personal connections, at uni and such. So while FB does have anti-social elements, it all depends on how you use it.

As someone who has lived in multiple countries and has friends all over the world. I can't agree with this more.

The flu, or a cold? Unlikely to get flu 3 times a year I'd imagine...
Definitely the flu which is why my doctor recommended the flu shots and this year started the pneumonia vaccine as well. And add to that some form of tonsillitis/laryngitis/pharyngitis 2-3 times a year.

Not fun living with weak immune system and I have also pushed boundaries a normal person shouldn't be pushing. Cest la vie.

No, not sarchastic, or sarcastic either :) .<snip>

Seriously, try googling Sarchasm.

Most definitely wasn't saying your post was sarcastic.

I know what sarchasm is (hence the little smiley bloke next to my comment). Apparently you didn't get it ..... ;)

Don't worry about it ...
It would seem that only one person thinks that [-] some social media[/-] Australian Frequent Flyer isn't social media.

Fixed that for you (inserted AFF). I think there are two of us. But lets not obsess over it. As noted up-thread, I'm a lingual laissez-faire type of guy.

The ABC is having a good day Family of 'humble hero' Harry Murray donates Victoria Cross to Australian War Memorial - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Handing over the medals to the memorial today, 81-year-old Clem Sutherland said her father would have been embarrassed by the fuss being made over his wartime exploits.

Very impressive!

In a stellar military career, Murray was promoted through the ranks from private to Lieutenant-Colonel in just four years.

Since AFF is one form of social media you haven't actually fixed anything.

Might be 3 of us.
In my young days social media was the gossip columns in the Sunday papers.

Yep, that would be another type of social media. Being so doesn't make any thing else not social media. The humour of "when I was a lad" skits notwithstanding

Me too. Helps to rationalise some of the bad stuff that you have no option to deal with in the manner you might really want to.
There are forces in play we cannot possibly comprehend. No other way to explain it and coincidence simply does not go far enough to provide an adequate explanation.

Sounds like my current contract negotiations. It's amazing what they can do (when they said without a doubt they can't previously....) when you say that's fine, I'll walk away.

Just received a quote/itinerary for flights ADL-ICN return with Cathay for a work trip. $2200 in Y! Pretty late notice, and I can find something with better return timings on the Qantas website for about $1800. Does it really cost $400 in TA "taxes', Still, I'm not paying so will just suck it up.

The next bit of good news, QF earning is utter rubbish - 3400 points and 60 SC! $700 on JQ to Asia could get at least 80 SC, it just got me 95SC. I could get at least 130SC with ADL-SYD flights for $2200, even as much as 200 SC.

Simpler and Fairer.

Sounds more like simple and (jetstar) farer.

On Tuesday I was bragging how I have had a Samsung Galaxy S for 4 years and Samsung Galaxy S3 for 2 years and only minor scratches on the sides.

By Wednesday night the S3 has a huge crack on the screen from top to bottom right.

Those elections are changing. For the first time there are Opposition candidates in every seat.
The share of the vote for the Government has slowly fallen from 90% to 60% in the last election. One day they might even lose an election.
