... I was told to change the suspension or replace the run-flat tyres with normal ones so maybe that's something I'd explore when I bring it in for servicing.

Hi Keith,

Changing the run flat tyres will greatly improve the ride, however you will be without a spare (which I guess you wouldn't use anyway;))

I would not recommend changing the suspension as this can create whole new problems. Changing tyres and playing around with the pressure in them will help. When choosing new tyres make sure you specify to the sales person you want comfort over performance.

Best. Seat. Ever.

Three rows of models, one on my row, one behind, and one opposite side of the aisle a row back.

It was brilliant they came on last and had so much cabin baggage to put into the overheads, hope they didn't catch my extended staring at them

Sounds like a great flight home.

I would imagine they would mind the staring less than they would mind the stream of dribble down your shirt

That's what roadside assistance is for. :p
I think the BMW salespeople automatically think all BMW customers are speed nuts (a lot of the clientele certainly are) so I'd be sure to emphasise comfort over performance.

If you had a chance to go back in time and change one thing in your life would your life really be any different today?

There are several possible things I'd change. Things would have taken different paths, and things would be different. But who knows if I would be better off.

Yes, life would be different. Would I be happier/better off/more intelligent/more successful???? Very difficult call.

Life isn't a "Choose your own adventure" book where you can go back a few pages, ignore everything that has happened and choose a different path if you don't like where you are going (for those who don't understand the reference: Choose Your Own Adventure - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ).

Take life as it comes. There isn't much you can do about what has happened. It's in the past, learn from whatever has occurred and move on with life.

You are only allowed to change one thing in your life.

Keep in mind that there is more than one way to get home and it is possible to make the same mistake over and over....

Lol, very hard to not get busted staring at someone who is in a row behind you ... now wipe that dribble off your shirt and start chatting to them ;)

Flying MEL-PER Monday night I watched The Time Travellers Wife and this question is posed and answered, you can go back but you can't change anything so your life is the same.

I loved those books as a kid. Sometimes you would end up dead and that sucked but you could start again and have a new adventure.

Kids today would not understand.

If I could change one thing in my life, I'd spend the time I spent watching that movie on either another movie, or some other task...

My thoughts exactly but when stuck on a 738 for 4+hours (with over 1 hr of turbulance) you have few options.

Although not as bad as "500 Days of Summer" which was 1.5 hours of hell.

I haven't seen, or heard of, this movie yet. Is it similar to The Time Machine in 2002 with Guy Pearce?

It is about a guy who time travels to important moments in his life without control.

Basically a love story set around a guy who time travels and the girl he loves.

To garner points from a wife/GF this is a good movie but for passing the time on a plane:(

When I saw there were several new movies in the QF IFE guide for November I was excited. But even though my first November flight was the 3rd, the new IFE guide had been loaded into the seat pockets but the new content had not been loaded into the system .

So on my return flight I sought out the new movies, of which this was one. My excitement was sort lived. Perhaps sleep or the crossword in The Australian Way would have been more gripping excitement.

So my 4th 9 hour flight for November is going to be a struggle to find something decent to watch on the QF IFE system. I have seen all the movies I am interested in, and all the TV programs that generate interest (they don't have much month to month). Maybe I need to go and buy some DVDs before I leave Hong Kong.

Hopefully the December update will be loaded before my next trip.

October's choices were pretty dire as well IMHO.

Having my first British Indian meal next week at this place as suggested by a friend in London:
| RASOI | ______________________

Going for the Gourmand menu with wine pairings. (and substitutions for the lovely-sounding shellfish stuff :()

Hopefully not too spicy but I discovered a great way to take away the spice from curries whilst retaining the flavour is to ask for extra yoghurt to dunk in.

One of British Airways's chefs, Vineet Bhatia, apparently is a chef at Rasoi.

The last time I flew Club Europe, his dish was featured in the menu, but it wasn't on the sector I was flying (short part of the Kangaroo hop).

Sorry, but there must be some element of spice to a curry. It's wrong not to have it there. Extra yoghurt/raita is a good idea for the tamer palate.

Hope you had a long flight. (Note the bolded word. You may interpret that however you like. :p)
