I have been eating <2000 calories a day for 3 weeks now. I have lost 8-9kgs since you last saw me in BKK. The only exercise I get is golf 2 days/week and walking to/from station.Just caught up with several pages since our last reliable internet.With weight loss in the short term diet is far better than exercise but in the long term exercise is essential for maintenance of weight loss.The CDC suggests for those who maintain weight loss over 90% have regular exercise as part of their plan.
Another thing with exercise-weight loss is not the only benefit.most disease are less prevalent in those who exercise regularly.
Going forward I don't see myself doing additional exercise. I can't. I suffer enough walking at golf. The last time I lost a lot of weight it took 2 years to put back ~8-10kgs but I was still drinking. Cut down alcohol and continue to eat light should keep the kilos off.
My first target was 115kg. Almost there. Now to try and get under 110kg by October. Might surprise myself.
