Speaking of shots, yellow fever and typhoid boxes now ticked on my record card. I asked the doctor if there was a prize for 'collecting the set'. I think his answer was along the lines of not getting sick when travelling! :)

I think I have every vaccination known to man for travel, except the rabies one.

Anti-Merlot vaccine? :)

WHY!? There is really no reason to joke about such a serious matter!! That would be like the end of the world as we know it!

But then again... I am off the Merlot at the moment... trying to cure my flu with Whiskey. Going brilliantly so far :D

I was comforted to read in the paper today that the name of the Australian and International Pilots Association president is Nathan Safe.

I've had the rabies vacc. Working with bats will make that one compulsory.

Got my flu vacc this morning. Went to the doctor for something else, he asked if I'd had it, and when I said no he jabbed me before I could even think about it. Free as an asthmatic anyway and I'd planned on getting it asap so now its done.

I remember several years ago a GP in Dubbo called Dr. Death. (pronounced as in "wreath"). He was very popular.

There was a plastic surgeon who has ISO4U as his vehicle numberplate.

There is an anaethetist in Sydney with GASMAN numberplates

I'll certainly have it if I venture to a situation where it would be prudent. But tourist-infested areas with scavenging monkeys and dogs - and old bats ;) - are a scene I avoid.

Many of my wildlife encounters are with things than can eat me whole or gore me to death. No vaccine for those .

In Seinfeld Kramer believed the owner of this vehicle to be a proctologist:
