Sorry to hear. War tends to do that to people.
If it was me I'd simply pay the $100/year to keep his memory alive. I know it's a pain but it's not a lot. Just sacrifice one night/year in a 5 star hotel and stay in a 3 star hotel instead.
Very good point. The RSL? They have more than enough money. And who will pay the $100.00 for those who don't have any family left?
Quite possibly the cutest kind of flying gear I've ever owned

Cute that it shows your family how long until you'll be home!

Which RSL has more than enough money?Very good point. The RSL? They have more than enough money.
Good idea. I'm sure AFF should be able to get some manufactured in Asia and sell them for a nice profit!
Quit while you're ahead, comes to mind. The RSL has plenty of money, do they?
SWMBO's grandfather spend a large part of his life advocating for POWs from Europe. Veterans have been dumped after every war. This sounds like another piece of cough. Besides I thought plots were purchased not rented.

Some RSL's have pokies cash but many branches in Victoria are merging or folding.
Bit off topic but nearly run over by someone in a SUV with personalised number plates RSL 1, in a shopping car park when trying to cross at a Zebra crossing. Might have been Major General David McLachlan.
Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL.Which RSL has more than enough money?
Just passed car with the number plate RIP 66, a bit odd.
And that's how the war srarted....Ha ha, I was in the shower thinking - did I spell that principal or principle! And thought, no way would I have typed principal!
