So bought some brussel sprouts for dinner tonight. Have never cooked them before because after eating them once as a child, they had been boiled to death and slimy. Verdict later.

How are you planning to cook them? If steaming I recommend cutting a cross in the base. They are also lovely halved or quartered in a stir fry

I cant risk another slime so will cut in half and cook in butter.

We're having them tonight as well! Give them a short parboil first then drain well and dry on kitchen towel before adding to the butter/oil. Almonds go well with them.

So really, anything that drowns out their natural flavour works well?

I haven't figured it out. Thought I have figured it out but still haven't.

Everything in JohnK is pointing to JohnK.adm-PC. No idea when this profile came about. I tried moving things into favorites, desktop etc and it wasn't working properly. Restarted the machine and everything looks OK now as if nothing has happened today.

I know what is going on and it is freaky and scary. Hard to explain. And no I have not had a drink....

What are the dates associated with any of those system files?
Check to ensure (if applicable) that you have wifi turned off and disconnect internet connection when you are not physically using the machine (unplug connection).

For a duplicate profile to be created sounds more like malware than system mucking up. I would ensure that ANY financial details are not entered into the machine until you are absolutely certain there is no malware or virus installed.

You had a choice?

I simply turned on my laptop earlier this week and it had somehow been upgraded.

I bloody well didn't do it.

You have 30 days to do a rollback to your old system if you want to. Google it if interested.

Early dinner - they were yum. They need to be fried in the butter for quite a while to brown and caramelise up a bit. Had them with snapper fillets and tomato/oilve/caper sauce; a bit of an odd combination but we had been down to Ostani and had a bowl of chips earlier.

Get rid of the sprouts and the weird sauce and you've got the start of a decent meal there!

Brussel sprouts discussion is hilarious. Basically if you cook them in a way that hides their taste they are great.

I fired up office PC today and used it for an hour perfectly - closed 1 email and PC immediately launched into W10 update - UFB - sat there for an hour til it completed.

Then 2 hours totally wasted time where nothing could be achieved - rolled it back in 5 mins and the day went on as normal.

Already mentioned. By me. :p

Actually the sprouts were quite good. Might do them again.

No idea about dates. Ran a full system scan with free AVG and all fine. I leave the mobile broadband dongle connected to laptop but disconnect internet access.

Scammers are quite welcome to the passwords of my credit card accounts. ;) Bank accounts have very little cash in them at any point in time.
