0400 Alarm for me this morning. Was very anxious about how to navigate to T1 at PER and drop off the hire car. Turns out that anxiety was well-founded :o

I have had quite a few of them lately.

In many ways domestic road warrior is just as hard (or harder than) regularly long haul for work...

That doesn't sound good. Care to elaborate?

It's actually a fair bit further to drive to than the old terminal. In the pitch black I nearly missed the T1 turnoff, then did miss the turn off for the hire car returns. Every single slot at Avis was taken and no body seemed to care or be processing drop offs. I double parked and handed the keys into the office. No time for coffee at the VA lounge as my flight was already boarding. BP settled once onboard.

You should have asked me - I did it a couple of weeks ago and the roads that I was told to take by my last client were correct - but the GPS had me driving in a desert...so I breathed deeply and keep pushing on.

Dropping off hire car is at least easy, once you navigate to the entrance and get the car park entrance card...but then the walk to the terminal...

There are, however, things she dearly misses from the movie review shows she co-hosted for SBS and then the ABC. One of the biggest is the annual trip to France for the Cannes Film Festival.“Cannes is really expensive. How I afforded it when we were at SBS, I’ll never know. Everybody is being squeezed these days in terms of cost of production. A crew over there is US$1000. Accommodation is through the roof. It’s too expensive unless you have the taxpayers’ money,” Pomeranz said.

Yep, a definite poor start to the day. Don't you just love the lack of customer service in some companies?

Been a long time since I've had to drive to PER airport, imagine if I did so now I would be in the same position - the trips I've made back home have all ended up with a completely different looking road layout than what I was used to 6 years ago

Fly Qantas domestic; very little change there, the international side has changed a bit but only because VA turned up next door.

Well my day didn't turn out too bad, I just ignored the cough; and did what I could, some things might go to hell tomorrow but I worry about it then.

Boss was over from the west, I am glad an ex employee turned up when he did; now works for one of our biggest customers. I guess people don't really want to say what they really should as for why they left, certainly times when its best to say nothing but other times sometimes things should be said.

At least I have Friday off; now that will be fun, I probably end up with a few calls.

Tonight with the rain a person going to the eastern side of Perth Airport for Virgin or international could be finding it challenging.

A pity there is nowhere further away to put them.
Not a cat person I take it?

As you know sometimes discussion moves in mysterious ways; this one just moved into the cat territory so we were pleased when it was transferred to the correct thread. Certainly not intentionally posting in the wrong thread.

For me the problem was more about discussing the personal habits of animals. I just don't see the need to discuss that stuff.
