Most entities I knew went from '97 to '03 - me, I was still trying to get over the "castrating" of the underlying VB Macro script capability between Office '95 and Office '97 ...
There was definitely an Office XP. I've gone through every version of Office since '95, although I'm still running Office 2013 despite my being able to get Office 2016 for cheap (education licence). I'm debating whether to grab 2016 or wait until the next Office version. I'm not entirely sure what the new Office version offers that might be substantially better than what I have (most Google searches for blogposts or the like that attempt to give the Cliffs Notes on the differences between the two versions has mostly been pretty lame efforts), and unlike my previous positions, the "workplaces" where I am situated do not have the latest Office running that might have provide some incentive to upgrade.
