Any recommendations for obtaining public liability insurance for an organisation?

I have no idea. Just looking for a starting point, and/or good experiences with insurers.

Consider going through a broker. Mine gets me a couple of options each year ( I do my workers Comp through them as well). Broker is just a small local guy in Hobart, so you'd probably want to go Adelaide.

Try a broker. Thats what we ended up doing. They do the leg work of getting multiple quotes.

Thanks guys. We need the insurance for 2 weeks for a one off event. I'll look at brokers.

We used a broker as well when the company was running - can't remember who but they were very efficient.

Again try a broker, had used IC Frith for a number of years, also it depends on your industry so check a broker who specializes in your industry at least they then know what you need to be covered for.

Also will depend on the person who you get along with, as in the consultant you are assigned to.

Our company is less than 20 people and we need up to $20M professional indemnity for some work. We go through a broker and have similarly been happy with the outcomes.

If its charity or not for profit, in Tas we can go to our local Council for one off event coverage ( but each assessed on merits/ situation). Ask around if it's this category of event.

Yeah, it is a not for profit - professional association.
thanks

One client wants me to be in Maputo on the same day another client wants me to be in Toronto.

I'm not a fan of hash tags, but this would be something about the consulting life and/or travel.

Meet Paddy, my new travelling companion. He certainly KWHI.

Pokemon will chew through data - that's for sure as it constantly pings 'location'. Its only been out a few days but give it a couple of weeks when the parents get the bills for excess data usage. More tears!
But it is quite an amazing and clever game as it has pictures of places nearby where pokemons are waiting. It uses the phone camera. My first one appeared on the table at a cafe. So you see the real table, the sugar stand and the creature. I really understand the craze. :o

It is not TOO late!

You can be saved....

I don't understand the obsession. Walking around to capture pokemons? I just saw 2 guys playing in the kitchen at work. No need to walk anywhere as there are plenty in the area.

What surprises me the most is how willing people are to submit to mind control. Rise of the machines. Not long now.

Like I mentioned ;) Ingress is the way to go for adults. https://www.ingress.com/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingress_(video_game)

Ingress is an augmented-reality massively multiplayer online location-based game created byNiantic, originally part of Google.[SUP][4][/SUP] The game was first released exclusively for Android devices on November 15, 2012,[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP] and was made available for Apple's iOS on July 14, 2014.[SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][6][/SUP] The game has a complex science fiction back story with a continuous open narrative.[SUP][7][/SUP][SUP][8][/SUP] Understanding the story is not necessary for playing and enjoying the game. Ingress has also been considered to be a location-based exergame.[SUP][9][/SUP]

Referrals available, just PM your email. But you must join the resistance... ;)

and I see there is a map hack to use ingress locations to find rare pokemons. Actually, I'm pretty sure both games are made by the same people. Yes confirmed. So everyone who has provided significant locations to Ingress have also provided that info for Pokemon Go.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niantic,_Inc.

Niantic, Inc. is an American software development company based in San Francisco, California. The company was founded in 2010 by John Hanke as Niantic Labs, an internal startup at Google,[SUP][1][/SUP]before it was spun out of Google as an independent entity in 2015.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP][SUP][4][/SUP]
Niantic is perhaps best known for developing the augmented reality mobile games, Ingress in 2012,[SUP][5][/SUP][SUP][1][/SUP] and Pokémon Go together with The Pokemon Company in 2016.

Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding! We have a winner!

Niantic, who developed Ingress, worked in collaboration with The Pokemon Company (1/3 owned by Nintendo) to develop Pokemon Go. A lot of the geo data was basically taken from Ingress development.

I wonder if I can invoice them for selling my IP?

However, it is great, youngest can do Pokemon, and I can do Ingress at the same locations. win win
Apparently the local park is full of people in tracksuits.
BTW, I have all the data and battery life solutions for anyone serious about the pokemons...
