My bro's father in law went to cancer last night. I think he might have been a colourful character or at least seen a few things in Franco's Spain. He was also a very welcoming and friendly host, who loved a nice wine.

There is far too much use of the euphemism 'colourful' when the word criminal would be more appropriate.

The world is better for his death.

The court took responsibility to judge him and his activities.

Meet Paddy, my new travelling companion. He certainly KWHI.

Well... that about sums it up! The millstone of status around QFFFers' necks!

Simpler and fairer, cafe breakfasts, no interlining of baggage, downgrades without compensation, downgrades with unfair compensation, removal of chauffeur drive, paying for exit rows, excessive fuel surcharges on award tickets... yet they still fly QF!! :p

I am now convinced the QF PR team is having a bit of fun when they put together the monthly 'points balance' newsletters. The current edition has a footnote for every single paragraph... they must be taking it in turns to compose the newsletter, with an prize for the person who manages to footnote every para. Well - they have a winner!

(Wait for it - the only thing left now is a footnote on some of the footnotes... stay tuned!)

and Judgement day will see all players lured to walk in front of a high speed moving vehicle, off a cliff/ledge, off the platform in front of the train...

That's being too nice - if it was well developed it would have them walk out into the desert and die of thirst and starvation.

Pokemon Go is the new planking - 12 months we will be saying Poke me what?

I read the article above and saw a headline about more deaths in France. Not something I really wanted to hear about.

My mums osteoarthritis in her knee is getting worse. Mobic no relief, GP won't give her an injection for her knee and now she reckons her hip is hurting.

Dreading if she has to get a knee/hip replacement.

I am on holidays at the moment. Weekend = everyday.

Hope that helps. ;)

Very long Weekend?

Ever wondered what sort of travel advice other countries dish out to their citizens before they head Down Under? It ranges from Ross River fever and Japanese encephalitis to bar brawls and the poisonous gland on the hind spur of the male platypus. Feel free to add that last one to your list of things to worry about when leaving the house, courtesy of the Russian Foreign Ministry!! " Rolleyes"

Stumbled over this in an office drawer yesterday - a handy dandy bottle opener / cork screw / cigarette lighter supplied by Elders years back. Check the phone numbers listed - produced before introduction of the 9 digit to front of Sydney phone numbers which I think was 1995 or 96:

The interesting part was that the cigarette lighter still works - 20+ years after it was produced - I was staggered - Jerry - I was full of stagger!

There are many threads on the difference between Virgin and QF - but an example of what highlights it for me is the difference in member newsletters... both the Virgin and QF editions had 'stories' about phone charges overseas. QF's solution? Buy one of their partner's SIM cards. VA? Well look see:

Refreshing to not only be thought of as an entity and how they can profit at every turn from me.

Bankwest Platinum offered a credit limit increase. Now that sounds really good but it isn't. Problem is I am up at the annual capping of 200,000 points so that card has come out of my wallet for the remaining half a year.

Recently applied for a credit card in the UK with a financial institution I already have dealings with (another credit card - they recently gave me a credit increase on my other card too). The limit I was provided was £10xx - Yes, this is a card with a £99 annual fee!
