Went to the pay night raffle at the Officers Mess at RAAF East Sale last night and won a bottle of Chardonnay. That was OK until the major prize came up which was a $200 Webjet voucher.

Now I need to work out how to deal with Webjet as I also won that prize. Not a company that I normally deal with but I'm sure I can get by on this occasion.

The $6 is non-refundable but the balance on a old card can be transferred to a new card and the new card will cost nothing when you hand in a old card. Even better register your card and if you lose it, you can request a replacement card.

I have had to explain this to train staff, that you don't have to pay $6 each time when your card expires and had to show them the text on the website.

Good to know. When I moved from a concession Myki to a full fare one, I had to pay for a new card...

Watching The Bachelor. I know. but MrP is on a plane. A nice crowd of cats in the harem. One phrase that peeves me no end "shut the front door". I think I'd prefer the F word. And the current use of the word 'like'. Sat down in a shopping centre the other day and there was a job appraisal being done. The manager used the word 'like' multiple times in every sentence.

Also watching; its like a train wreck but you just cant quite look away. Hilarious.

On myki, just hit my 4yr expiry on my barely used card, received a new one in the mail after request, although balance for now is on the old one

You can either have the old card's balance transferred, on the spot, at a manned train station or apply for a refund on-line. Either way you have to hand over or send in the old card.

Going the other way was free for me. I've now had 3 x myki cards, all issued for free.

The amount of confusion and sometimes incorrect information in the preceding posts just shows how complicated the myki system actually is! But once you have a card, register it and set up the "auto top up" function, it all seems to work quite well.

Understanding how the billing is done under "my transactions" is a whole other (complicated) matter!

I know someone who can help out with the $200 Webjet voucher if you are struggling.

My 69yo dad died this morning after a massive heart attack. I didn't get a chance to tell him I loved him, despite trying to find the right time for ages. Please don't make that mistake.

Ohh GarretM, so sorry to hear that. Thinking of you and the family at this time.

Garrett, you may not have "had the chance" to tell him but I am sure he knew.

My thoughts are with you.

I also had to change from concession to full fare. They tried to charge me but told them about the website.

Checked my account and the concession card was still appearing in my account. So I claimed that card was "lost"... Now I have a concession myki and a full fare myki. ;)

Sorry about your Dad. Love doesn't have to be said for it to be expressed.

I am so sorry. That is far too young. You know what? Parents know their kids love them.

I'm so sorry to hear that GarrettM. That is far too young and is a reminder for all of us that we don't know what each day will bring. I'm sure he knew you loved him dearly even without it being said in so many words. Sincere condolences to you and the family at this sad time.

Sucks GarrettM, A hole is created in your life with the loss of a parent.

So sorry to hear the news GarrettM, thoughts are you and your family.

Just not my day today.

Go to fill up-tanker has just arrived and stayion closed.

Undoubtedly you already know this BUT following the never cough/U/ME philosophy.

When the petrol tankers deliver their load to the storage tanks it has the unfortunate side effect of beautifully mixing up the water in the storage tank with the petrol (there's an increasing amount of water in the storage tank but to empty it out takes time and costs so - buyer beware).

... if you every see a tanker at the station or just leaving - drive on - otherwise can potentially create a very expensive issue for your vehicle.

however any time is the right time to tell someone you love them.I found that out in my relationship with my father. We had never got along. In some ways fortunately his health just slowly deteriorated.About 18 months before He died I decided to tell him I loved him.His reply-"I knew that son."I am sure your father was the same.
My move came listening to a song driving to work.it became the basis for his eulogy-

The words just made so much sense.I know you must feel just like the singer but as I said I am sure your father knew so make sure you don't suffer.
In the time we had left together I got to at last know my father and why he acted the way he did-I just wish he had told me earlier.
I still tear up just writing this but more tears of gratefulness.

A flood of memories at this time GarrettM. If you have kids of your own, you know the feeling of unconditional love. You don't have to be best mates to know you are loved.
