Sounds like their LIMS needed some calibration, and some blanks thrown in there as well.

Quite.

Repeated the test (at a different collection centre, in a different region, and it was all fine).

I know it drives my Doctors batty as they can't see all the historical stuff but mixing up the collection centres, or even better, the Labs, is what I do now.

If you get regular pathology, go to MyGov, then Medicare, then get a 3 year claim history - you will be amazed at how much the pathology adds up to... And it is mostly all bulk billed.

Whilst labs occasionally make mistakes, it does make you realise how lucky we are to live in a country like Australia medical treatment is available to the masses on a mostly "free" basis.

There is a health scandal in Adelaide currently. Actually two. One of our friends is caught up in one of them. They are considering joining the court action.
A couple of years ago had prostate removed by the robot. Had to have 3 monthly blood tests. Each time the levels rose a bit more and with the last one they had resigned themselves to facing mortality by October this year. Sold the family house. Moved to the country. Sold the business. Then the specialist realised that many of his patients were testing positive - way above his normal experience. All blood tests done by the RAH pathology service. He investigated. Their reference levels or whatever they were doing were not calibrated properly. Our friend was perfectly healthy. Last I saw them was 2 weeks after finding out. They were in shock.

That is absolutely horrible :(

Glad your friend is okay, but a very bad case of "false positives".

I like politics but I don't love it. I have backed both teams over the years so I am not a Bolshevik nor a gengkis khan fanatic. But when I see bullshyzen, and it is written by a bullshyzen artist with an interest, it is no surprise that the perennially unworkable senate is the way it is. Middle Australia cannot stand the two parties and when you read shyzen like this, you know why.

It is a Guardian headline today. I haven't read enough of the guardian as I have the Herald Sun to detect bias that comes from Harvey from Canberra, panahi the journo, and Bolt the journo but I have been told the guardian is so pro labor its ridiculous. I will see in the future.

Donations, Dastyari, and why all MPs need a pair: lessons from the first week of parliament
Why did Sam Dastyari get a Chinese-linked company to pay his bills? I’d rather try to explain something simpler, like how there are three persons in one in the Holy Trinity

Ground hog day.
Every single time I open TTOTT in my App it opens at this post

Every single, fr*ckin' time
It's wearing a bit thin :(

I had something similar a few months ago, and it started on a post that you had written from 2015,

Now on the app sometimes it tells me I am not logged in,

Our EA is currently being interviewed by the media. Her bag was stolen from her work desk back in 2005 and was reported to the Police. This week the Police called back saying her wallet had been found! 11 years later. A builder had handed it in - he was working in a city building and it was found in the manhole in the ceiling. All cash and credit cards gone, but licence, medicare cards, video card membership were still inside. Time warp.

She also had a David Jones gift voucher inside for $150 - of course long expired. But she explained the reason why she had just found it again and they gave her a brand new gift voucher!

Nice work all around from the Builder, the Police and David Jones.

She is rather excited right now, can hear her chirruping away to the reporter, and having her photo taken. Wallet dusty but perfectly intact.

Last year our boss gave us all Fitbits as a team build gift... just found out that this year we're all getting Prostate Home Check kits, aka" **** on a Stick" packs.

I currently have the 2 my husband has been sent sitting at home... Wonder if I can give them away on the AFF Free forum :)
