So which version of Hallelujah do people prefer? Master's P prefer Jeff Buckley. I love the gutsy version by Karise Eden (Idol) and of course KD Lang.

A very enjoyable game, wonderful exhibition for the AFL in the RL heartland.
Seemed to be a great atmosphere.

K.d.lang's performance at the Vancouver Olympics is the standout for me. Honourable mentions go to The Choir Of Hard Knocks, and Clare Bowdich. Dishonourable mentions go to Neil Diamond and Rufus Wainwright.

Awesome win by the Western Bulldogs

55 years since their last appearance in a grand final.

AFL have just breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Next up the Melbourne Storm vs Canberra Raiders
You know there is a football thread!

Had ear canal crystal / dizzy therapy and was so nauseous, had a 5hr nap. Now it's 11pm and I'm wide awake.

What a great weekend - work all day Saturday, come home exhausted and neighbour is having a party with loud music.

Sunday - get to fly to work on my time so I can do an early Monday meeting.

Time off is overrated anyway, right?

Penegal thank you for keeping on working while you can. Yesterday I stopped what I was doing to watch the Western Bulldogs and then went back to emails from last week as I was away in Portsea and Melbourne for work.
Today is Sunday so we will take the olds out for brunch. With double demerits on our long weekend I will drive with my radar detector saving my pocket a heap of dollars. I should be ready to get some Cullen's Diana Madeline with the saving.

In a fortnight I'll be in Dallas Texas, have just seen this on my hotel reservation.

This hotel allows handguns that are concealed only, provided the person carrying the handgun is properly authorized under applicable Texas law. Openly carried handguns are prohibited on hotel premises regardless whether the carrier is otherwise authorized under Texas law.

Haven't seen this before. Although when previously in Denver I was reminded that smoking marijuan_ was forbidden in the hotel even in the smoking areas.

Leonard Cohen, Weather Report, Sports, Frank Zappa, Spiro Gira, Blood, Sweat & Tears and others at Brighton pavilion and the Brighton Centre (UK) 78-80... Frank stopped the show to explain that front rowers were throwing knickers on to the stage...:)

just been reminded by MrsTMA of the fabulous The Tubes we also saw in Brighton (UK) with the wonderful " White punks in dope" and other marvels.
This makes last nights the Australian INXS show appear lame, however, it was a smashing night. Go figure, free entry for us all and a great crowd at the Burvale.
For those interested, next month has a Red Hot Chilli Peppers cover. As yet, I haven't checked them out on youtube.

I know I'll probably be a minority, but I can't stand any of them. Sorry. I don't even know why - as I normally can appreciate a performance for it's passion - but that song just grates for me...
