I know I'll probably be a minority, but I can't stand any of them. Sorry. I don't even know why - as I normally can appreciate a performance for it's passion - but that song just grates for me...

Maybe even singularity :D

And with a name like yours?

Penegal thank you for keeping on working while you can. Yesterday I stopped what I was doing to watch the Western Bulldogs and then went back to emails from last week as I was away in Portsea and Melbourne for work.
Today is Sunday so we will take the olds out for brunch. With double demerits on our long weekend I will drive with my radar detector saving my pocket a heap of dollars. I should be ready to get some Cullen's Diana Madeline with the saving.

My laptop is sitting there taunting me and I'm already thinking ahead to what I need to get done work wise today. I'm a week out from a project completing so my routine work is currently getting done at night.

I only work on a Sunday from early evening. No work on Saturday and I trade off a late bed time for a lazy morning in bed on Sunday.

I like it, but it is a bit of a durge, especially when sung at 33 1/3.

If Donald looses you may need a hand gun as there's going to be some really angry people saying, 'we was robbed'.

In a fortnight I'll be in Dallas Texas, have just seen this on my hotel reservation.

Haven't seen this before. Although when previously in Denver I was reminded that smoking marijuan_ was forbidden in the hotel even in the smoking areas.

That's what I normally do, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Well actually I normally don't work on weekends at all, but sometimes things go to scheisse.

I know, right?

Might need a username adjustment:

Music is a broad church, and I'm not criticising anyone for liking the song. Unless you make me listen to it....

Think of a Genesis before some silly rock band and you may get my meaning.

I suspect you're talking to people like this:

Think I'm talking to people who are so certain they are right they forget they know nothing other than the things they can see from the tiny window in front of them.

I have worked/studied with 2 of the most intelligent Greek-Aussies, but then I was shocked they believed the world was only 6000 years old! Both Scientists who refused to believe the fossil record.

The fossil record is not something to be believed. It is something that just is. Like water. Or air.

Last time I checked Bracks was of a Lebo background and the Poo was half Italian. However I must admit the Greeks in Melbourne are quite indoctrinated by their.

As some-one who has studied fossils (and their record) off-and-on for the past 35 years, I'll have to think about that for a while.

But initial thoughts are:

1) WTF?

2) Are water and air not to be believed?

3) see 1)

Fossil record? You believe the rate of decay is constant throughout time and there are no outside factors that could possibly influence the readings of the fossil record? Volcanic ash?

There are some really smart people out there. I am not one of them. Scientists and theologians. Creationists if you like. There are also many mainstream scientists out there who believe in the young earth theory.

I may not know very much but one thing i do know. We were definitely created. We are not a random formation from single cell organisms who decided they would take on various forms. Just look at the complexity of the human body. Consumption of energy, reproduction, cells, the vein system, both the conscious and subconscious mind. These were not a random series of events.

And of course there is DNA. Random? Hahaha.

And lets not forget our soul. Science has no explanation.

I don't need to know how my creator was created. If I am meant to find out I will find out in due time.

Unless I'm mistaken I think you and GarrettM are in agreement there, no belief required for factual information :D

Well, I'm not going to touch some-one's religious beliefs, but the first line there is utter nonsense. I don't know where to begin in critiquing it, but to say that volcanic ash itself can contain fossils might be a start. By 'rate of decay' do you mean the rate of decay of radioactive isotopes, or the decay of organic matter, or something else?

'Belief' is the antithesis of science so any debate there is pointless. I'm OK with 'belief' until believers start introducing pseudo science to support their beliefs. Believe away, but don't traduce or manipulate my science to support it.

For a second there I thought a fossil record was sam newman fronting up to the footy show since its genesis even though his comments lately are pure show business. Any publicity is good publicity.
