I really don't see how the break-up of Genesis is up to TheRealTMA. Or is TheRealTMA some big-shot in the global music industry?

C'mon. Fess up. And can you fix my iTunes subscription?
Some may say my drumming technique in my day was exceptional, some may even say I've worked miracles in my time, but iTunes is a step too far!

Think of a Genesis before some silly rock band and you may get my meaning.

Genesis was actually one of the seminal rock bands of the 20th C, not at all silly.

What other rational meaning is there, apart from medieval superstition? Oh, yes, there was that StarTrek movie some years ago....

Medieval - I think most observers, even those of an atheistic bent, would put Genesis many thousands of years before the medieval period. Even the earliest manuscripts of Genesis would be at least 2,500 years old.

Observers with an atheistic bent wouldn't put Genesis anywhere except the concert at Knebworth in '73. Brilliant it was too!:)

Others who accept such fantasy may say October 24, 4004 BCE.

I think you are getting your religions totally mixed up.

I am the Alpha and the Omega....

Are you sure about the year?
In the beginning there was Van Morrison and the Allman Brothers, but that wasn't until 1974.
Ah well spotted! I did go to UK via Asian hippy trail overland in '73 but Wiki tells me it must have been another trip in June and September '78! Saw Frank Zappa and Genesis as I remember but they were different events. Was a post-doc at the time so yes, 78.

Beat me by 5 years on the overland trail. I regret I never saw Zappa, but did see some interesting performers during my time floating in and out of London. Saw Gulliver Smith down at the local pub in Elsham Rd, he had been around the Aussie music scene for a while, the main group being Company Caine. Unfortunately he died a couple of years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulliver_Smith

The most entertaining part of Knebworth ’74 occurred when a naked, dancing hippy near the front was hit on the head by a perfectly aimed can of Coke.
I wouldn’t normally advocate violence, but he’d been annoying everyone for hours and there wasn’t a peep out of him after that.

Good times were had by all at Knebworth. (I wondered what that bump on the head was next day! :) )

Leonard Cohen, Weather Report, Sports, Frank Zappa, Spiro Gira, Blood, Sweat & Tears and others at Brighton pavilion and the Brighton Centre (UK) 78-80... Frank stopped the show to explain that front rowers were throwing knickers on to the stage...:)

just been reminded by MrsTMA of the fabulous The Tubes we also saw in Brighton (UK) with the wonderful " White punks in dope" and other marvels.
