Ouch.
some say you have to grab a bull by the horn.
This is the opposite.

As I very quietly clock over the quarter of a million miles for the year (well on the way to my usual 400K given most travel is in the back half of the year)... it's great to have a few beers and hear one of the great live entertainers of our time.... live music is one of life's gifts that so many people neglect.

Go to shows!!

That's all I can really say, music life is absolutely amazing. Sing along, make a fool or yourself and have a beer with a musician who may be on the Forbes 500 list... you only live once.

Best life advice you will ever get from me.

second Tuesday of every month, tonight actually, jimi hocking at the Grandview in station st Fairfield, also a free bee, great night of acoustic/electric by this solo maestro.

They are both fantastic, such talented people. Congratulations in order Blackcat for the print exposure. What was the name of the magazine?

Reminds me, haven't seen the divine Miss Daisy for a while.:)

Its Love Patchwork and Quilting.

Miss Daisy is doing well, getting bigger (around 4kg now). That's Lola on the left.

So do you take out the IP for it? How does this work for quilting designs?
My SIL and the Aussie Hero Quilts get special authority to use trademark designs due to their purpose - and obviously are never sold but how does one go about protecting your own designs of quilts?

Cute dogs :p

Its a bit of a weird one and Im not sure on the full details, but after a few months Im allowed to sell the pattern myself. It's a pretty good deal given I get the quilt back.

Its a true labour of love as I expect it took many many hours just to do the cutting.

This is one my SIL made for me.
So much cutting. (Cat heard me make 'bed making' noise as I flicked it out for the photo. Did I mention on the other Cat thread that every time I make the bed he hears the noise above the sound of dishwasher, TV and washing machine and bolts straight in?)

Gorgeous quilt and yes, don't know how they do it but cats always know! He looks comfy.

Just trying to check in at SYD for a 3 segment journey on BA. Am being told the "APP" system is down world wide. Apparently it is for processing passports? Just as well I am lucky today and am in a row with a very small number. Large number of passengers have been standing around for a while. Also, luggage belt at A check in zone broken, so we have all been moved to B.
Happy Travels. John.

Cat and quilts  Bella will head into the bed even after we've got up. I've sat down on it before only to hear an indignant meow from under the covers.

Hopefully you will get away....sometime today

My SIL has a quilting room with specialist embroidery and quilting arms. (I dunno, all a mystery to me). Her cat buries himself in the fabrics drawer but sometimes even she thinks there is too much sewing going on.

So hubbys travel wedge pillow for snoring/reflux has arrived... aka, the sex wedge from Toughage and Alibaba.

If you are suppose to use the free gift/pump to blow this thing up for its advertised purpose, then you better do it before you head out for a date because its not going to happen quickly.

Off to Clark Rubber this weekend to buy a foot pump.

Oh, and DHL did a security check on the item
