Someone told me about some study where they gave a group of people the same horoscope. All thought the horoscope was about themselves despite all being born in different months.

Obviously none of them (nor the horoscope) were Virgos.

Having spent the morning looking at accommodation in the Blue Mountains, I now feel like a need a shower as they are nasty.

They need a Novotel up there.

It's funny the tricks you pick up, the Mrs wants to go up to Syd for the weekend next month to see Aladdin (she's going with her parents and our eldest, I'm staying home to play babysitter), she tried to search for things to do with the trip and it was coming in at over $750pp, which is a little out of our price range for a simple weekend in Syd.

I spend 45 minutes over my lunch break and have managed to piece together an itinerary which comes in at $331 per person, and still has her staying within walking distance of the theatre, still has her doing the train thing (she wanted to take the train, something different), and of course includes tickets to the show. In contrast she'd spent hours struggling to find places.

Furthermore I've even been able to break the payment of the trip down into a schedule so that we can pay for the trip over 3 pays.

Never really put too much thought into why I do things in a certain way, it's just become habit, but considering how easily I was able to piece together the trip and how much difficulty she was having with the first much more expensive itinerary it's just interesting how practice makes perfect.

Just my ramblings.

Also probably why our friends think we spend a bomb doing what we do, when we really only spend a fraction of that.

This is not a political post, but have to smile at the last Political Insider happening today ... "Tony Abbott received rapturousapplause in question time, the Australian Christian Lobby thanked Bill Shortenfor helping kill off same-sex marriage and the deep fryer in the parliamentarycafeteria broke down which meant hot chips could not be served at lunch time."

MasterP takes part in fire testing. Workers are warned it's just a test and if they hear a certain sequence of sounds then they can safely stay put. But not the public servants from one Federal Dept. At the sound of the first toot they downed pens (:p) and walked out in the middle of the morning to return after lunch.
