1533486[/URL]]Oops, not clever.
No - I am truly a reformed character now when it comes to putting things away, rather than on the kitchen bench or bathroom vanity :(

I have a problem with earrings. I seem to lose one of a pair

I did lose my hearing aid a few years ago (yes, I am rather deaf) when in Sydney. It was a BTE and it somehow popped off leaving the connection still in the ear. Think my sunglasses might have dislodged it. It wasn't insured. At the time about 3K down the tube.:(

I keep losing the backs off my earrings; I reach up to twirl one and realise there's no back. Better than the actual earring of course but a pain to replace with a matching back.

I have a weird issue on AFF (only), doesn't happen on any other forum or any other tab in my browser - where by my spacebar doesn't work. I really just can't explain that at all.

Now here's something odd - after having typed that elsewhere and copy/pasted in, spacebar now works. Odd...........

OKhere'stheoddthing,ifIreplywithquoteitdoesit.IfIjusthit'reply'thenspacebardoeswork. If I then hit 'Go Advanced' (which I've just clicked) spacebar working again.

So if I hit 'reply with quote' and it puts the text entry down the bottom, spacebar doesn't work.
If I hit 'reply' and it puts the text entry down the bottom, spacebar works OK.
If I hit 'reply with quote', then hit 'Go Advanced' spacebar works.

How very strange.

Medicare eligibility requires Australian citizenship AND proof of residency in Australia.
The Medicare website will have more information about the residency definition
The proof of residency is the difficult part. Her mother won't have residency. This stuff does my head in.

I wish businesses and government departments had decent call centres that don't overload.

Depending on the 'quality' of the plastic bottle the CO2 can diffuse through the plastic in less than 100 days.

I think the plastic can break down over time as well. This then is then absorbed by the water.

Plus if you are warehousing it your capital will also erode quickly.

Any self respecting FMCG manager should expect to sell stock dozens (or hundreds) of times over before shelf life is even considered.

Overloaded?. A govt dept?. Oxymoron?
Yes I know.

"Sorry we are busy looking busy this afternnon as we had nothing to do in the morning and cannot take your call. Try calling back another day or week or month or look for the answer on our confusing website!"....

Mum's house settled today. The proceeds - minus outstanding rates, fees, etc were in our account an hour or so later. Can't even begin to explain the sense of relief I have after the past three months. Tomorrow I am taking wife and bub to Albany for a few days, while mother housewife for us. Time to relax.

Not at all.

People don't want to pay more tax. People want more services.

The demand for services is much greater than ever before. Better awareness (campaigning, advertising, Royal Commissions) means more reporting. More reporting means more calls and more investigations.

Many of those matters should (rightly) take priority over routine non-urgent matters.

Resources are stretched. Departments are overloaded.

Australia Post is a curious case. Charge more for postage and deliver less often.

Anyone participating in Halloween?

We finally succumbed last year and decorated the lawn and had lots of kiddies and hubby has even more stuff for this year.

Im still not comfortable about accepting it but I can support the concept of free chocolate.

Driving me up the wall at the moment. One customer waiting for a parcel posted October 8, another is watching her parcel bounce back and forth between VIC and NSW every two days for absolutely no reason. The constant price increases seem to correlate with massive decreases in service.

We have a work Halloween party on Friday...though I'm not game to be seen in public in costume.

Let's not mention work for the dole again.

Provide training for long term unemployed and get them to answer phones 20-25 hours/week. Problem solved.

What phones? I rarely speak to my customers & vendors - its all email these days. Its not like they can start manning centrelink or medicare phones, can you imagine the bogans checking out their neighbours and ex's.
