Isnt there only one eternity so only need for one eternity ring?
Yes there is the fact that the diamond in the ring will last an eternity compared to our high divorce rates, but to us males out there, there still remains the three rings of marriage.
Firstly, the engagement ring which we all talk fondly off and are discussing admirably here/
Secondly, the wedding ring, the highlight of so many of us as well and although less embellished, certainly more real.
Thirdly, the suffer ring which we must endure.

If you avoid buying jewellery you could always buy some shares in TIF which is the code for Tiffany shares. Not quite as romantic as a rock on a girl's finger.
Oh and this is not financial advice especially seeing the price has recently rallied from $58 to $73 USD.

Well diamonds are one of the biggest scams.

I believe a lot of young ladies are now receiving moissanite rings, which is basically being passed off as a diamond but for a fraction of the cost so they get their Kardashian inspired clonker on the finger without dropping $20+K.

Personally if my husband tried to pass that onto me, I would tear him a new one but Im old and grumpy and it seems, a brat.

We had a discussion last night about upgrading my stone again, the outcome is we are going to either Scotland/Ireland or Norway in 2018 (2017 is already booked up).

I've seen quite a few moissanite rings around lately. Lots of people seem happy with size over quality....

Mining boom might be over. ZNE-PER

Mining boom well and truly over. But in reality it was a mining infrastructure construction boom which was never going to last; only so many port, rail and pit expansions to be done. But never fear, the mining industry will continue to keep Australia, with its vast government welfare and health spending, afloat.:)

Anybody listening to Jon Faine on 774 right now? Long story short - a car servicing centre offering 'free loan car' if you put your car in for service - so a guy did - was called after he left in his 'loaner' and told that this and that needed to be done to his car and would take 3 days to fix but ok for him to use 'loaner' til his ready.

Next day his father dropped off his car to same service centre and drove off in his 'loaner'. Later in day son receives MMS from his dad asking 'hey son isn't this your car?' YEP - lo and behold service centre 'lent out' son's car to dad as a 'loaner' - matter is currently 'under discussion' between son and service centre.

Oh my, that is scumbag material.

Yikes. More reason to take a photo of your odometer before you ever leave your car and keys with someone.

Or put a phone with tracker in the locked glovebox

I just had a very tense discussion with a co worker who I had a meeting booked with and she tried to explain her constant lateness as, "Being late is in my DNA".

Me: Not its not. Its not genetic, its being disrespectful to the person you made the appointment with and poor time keeping. Its rude, its you saying that my or other peoples time mean nothing to you.

Now I feel I was a bit too strong in my delivery but it drives me nuts.

There is a job going at the Palace - " The Queen is hiring! Palace job to do one very special thing pays $34,000. Her Majesty requests your resume. "

The Queen is hiring! Palace job to do one very special thing pays $34,000 | Australian Women's Weekly

"The Queen knows that a thank you card can go a long way but with so many to write (can you imagine!) Her Majesty needs a little help.A new job ad for The British Monarchy is hoping to find the candidate to help send “congratulations that are never forgotten.”
According to the description on the royal website the new role will be in ‘The Anniversaries Team’ which “helps to produce congratulatory messages that provide a vital link between The Queen and the public”. The ideal candidate will help pen and post messages ‘that mean so much to so many people’ on behalf of the palace."

Back less than a day and mind already clogged up. Breathe.... only 15 days to go....

You can never be too strong with selfish people. She will be on time for what she considers important i.e. flight times, therefore she can be punctual if she chooses.
