The D8 bus from South Quay to Stratford would be your next episode Mal.
We have been to Lewisham but I still don't know why we did it.

Cove, I visit some very rough areas in London, including Lewisham. Sometimes I wonder if I'll get out alive! Still find London overall safe, just rough at the edges!

Pretty sad when work has to put up a sign at work on the fridge that basically says 'don't eat other people's food'. Sad world.

I thought in offices and flatshares it was the same: if you didn't put it in the fridge, it isn't yours unless you ask permission first.

That's how three of us in a Swiss apartment successfully shared a fridge no bigger than about 1.5 bar fridges for 15 months.

Yes, rather sad, though it would be interesting to get the thieves' attempts to rationalise why they thought it was appropriate to take food which doesn't belong to them. Unless you are in one of those toxic environments where people do things to others to undermine or spite them. Or, it was time for the regular fridge clean out.

Humour really is lost on some people...

In other news, it may be a bit saccharine, but I had an absolutely fantastic time catching up with canucklehead of MP / IF fame in Sydney this week.

I thought Commercial posts were banned? :)

We have a confidential bin inside the offices that is removed and destroyed by a Confidential waste shredding service. All that we put in the bin is kitchen scraps and the usual paper stuff.

Actually, it isn't industrial at all, but office Commercial.

Brothels are illegal but a blind eye is taken. So many people dont realise it is a massage parlour and say to us "is it any good" thinking we might pop in for a remedial massage.

Does this look like a remedial massage place (taken from their website).....

Surprisingly we haven't seen these two ladies having a smoko at the rear area.

Speaking of ankle bracelets I have finally found out why many hospital car parks are used by drug dealers.
The dealer often has such a bracelet and on home detention. But they are allowed to be at hospitals.
So if anyone attends ED in the wee hours they should be asked to show their ankles.

The mother had some drug-affected member of the community in the adjacent room last week after getting her knee replaced. He made quite the fuss and eventually they placed a security guard at his door. Apparently he gave the staff an awful time of things. Not to mention his effect on the mental well-being of other patients.

Such a shame you can't just slip something into the IVs of these types, to help them sleep. Permanently.

I got turfed out of a single room for a prisoner.

They would probably cry that it's "discrimination"

They're not children, they are a mob of youths. Full force of the law onto them please, dropkicks.

Depending on how old those youths are, the full force of the law may not be "sufficient".

I can see how the officers could have been in a rock and hard place about this. Very unfortunate.

The one about Mountain Lions. They've got a bit too interested and just had a squabble set off by some of the lion noises

Snow Leopards I believe. Melbourne Zoo is making a new enclosure called Snow Leopard Ridge which should be ready in December.
