*waves* hello all, happy new year for 2017.

Barely Flying at all, so not frequenting these forums much..thinking of a RTW in J for June however..10K seems a lot of money for a fancy seat.

You don't realise how much you've forgotten until you see a baby growing and continuously learning.

Why do we ever grow up? We lose something special in the process.

Its a good thing that 'most' people grow up!!! And we gain something in the process - I think its called self control.

Can you imagine a world full of babies, toddlers, teenagers and older doing dummy spits all the time. uggggh!!! Its bad enough to watch those that do.

Try starting in Japan or somewhere in Scandinavia. ;)

Note that an Aussie TA (or one from any country) can now book an xONEx starting in a different country at that countries specific price. :D

I prefer to think of it as renting 2 rows of plane real estate and not having to share it.

That could be an interesting place. Hardly any crime.

The innocence lost is the most noticeable.

Potentially contemplating some proper offsite storage for the short term

For those following along, I inspected a rather suitable storage facility this afternoon that is temperature and humidity controlled which will work for us in the short term as our capex funds are low and there's nowhere for a large wine fridge to go in the meantime.

The massive feeling of relief that comes from getting the news that your dog's lump is extremely odd but benign and not malignant as it could easily have been. :)

I'll bet you show them a lot of love for the foreseeable future and give them a treat or two. Will you crack an alcoholic drink tonight ;)

I got the news on the way home and so the first thing I did on getting home was give him a big cuddle. And then he got to have ice cream for dinner! He's getting old for his breed so even the thought of him needing surgery is not great due to the risks involved.

Damn it...I should have cracked a gin.

I also don't have or don't use any of those things except a radio in almost every room in the house. I am off loading books at a great rate and feel lighter for it. I keep only a few travel, classic cook books and a few classics. (There's a 'rule' that you only use one recipe from each book).

I just went through my stash of theatre and opera etc programs. I wonder if there are collectors out there who want old SYD Film Festival programs.

I don't have a CD/DVD player in my house. Or a radio. Which is somewhat ironic. Even my Xbox is dead, so can't play anything on that. My laptop has no CD drive. And while my car has a CD drive, it's easier to just plug in the ipod. Which I now also rarely use.

Life comes at you fast.

The KDR plans that we have fallen in love with is a split level home, only 6-8 steps to deal with for each level so long term/age not an issue.

Hubby has declared the entire top floor will be Hubby-Land. Up there will be 3 bedrooms, full bathroom, living room, balcony with skyline view and study nook and he wants one living room wall painted with a Jimi Hendrix inspired mural for his guitar racks to hang from the walls.

Then he said hes going to get a velvet rope to close off the stair entrance to Hubby-Land.

Hes taken man cave to a new level.

Build a kitchen up there too and then he can be self sufficient.
