It was an enhancement for me as I was able to hold miss johnK in my arms for 10-15 minutes and she loved it.

So yesterday afternoon while in the Qantas Domestic Lounge in Sydney I had the pleasure of a cuddle with the very cute MissJohnK :D
And she loved to meet both of you. She was very tired when we finally got home last night and had a lovely sleep. She was nice and quiet this morning until she started talking.

She'll be 10 months old when we have dinner in Chiang Rai in July. Time goes too quickly.

Yes, only two more years of primary school for QF WP's daughter and my daughter. I'm more worried about schoolies, though.
Hopefully my Little Miss's stash of points will pay for her to go to Europe or the US or somewhere, rather than have her go to the coast!!
Can we send them off together...:D

The house is my childhood home, and Ive lived here since 1988, so theres a lot to sort through. Just tossed what was essentially my science degree (all my notes) in the recycle bin
Did that finally when I moved out of my unit into a house with Mrs QF WP. We were always told to keep tjhem, because ee'd use them in our early career...pffft, never opened them. There are some things our kids will never care about...

That makes it a bit hard. I remember when we used to visit my parents after we were married there was always a box of my 'treasures' to bring back with us. It was the parents' way of clearing out our stuff.
Yes, my parents did that to me and my brother as well :D

Definitely keeping the soft toys etc for when we have kids. Also have a dolls house etc made by my step grandfather that I would never throw out.
Some things will last the tyranny of time or are made by that special someone...Mrs QF WP has things made by her father that she will never throw out, we merely re-purposed them

My mother sent me the cards and telegrams she received when I was born (telegrams were big then) as well as a number of my 'special things' like the gold bangle I had in hospital when 16months old (heart disease). It was cut off my wrist when I was about 9 years old.
My mother can't part with them yet, but I know in time I'll get them...

I am used to working in "hot desk" and "clean desk policy" workplaces. I don't mind it so much, and it definitely helps you not to build up clutter.
Clutter is the only thing hot desks help.

Intentia had hot desks too except most people used to keep their things on "their" desk. If you get in early every day that's ok you generally got your desk. If you get in late then not much choice.

Hot desks are ok if you run a consultancy business and consultants are out of office for weeks and months with only occasional visits back to office.

Hot desks are not ok when all your staff are in the office at all times.

What I think they are doing is creating a "project" area so you get to have your own desk somewhere in office but when you are working on projects you'll be able to hot desk a few metres away from your permanent desk to a hot desk.

Meanwhile I get to sit where I am told to sit because there is no room for me to sit and told something along the lines "We all can't sit where we want in an open plan office" so you'll have to make some sacrifices even though you don't get along with everyone and we expect your productivity to be maintained at an all time high and just ignore noise, people eating and socialising.

Yeah right....
