With ABC 24 switching from HD to SD, has anybody noticed the sport clips look really bad and ghosty?

And how's the tidying and wine packing going TV & BC? Not a task I envy - bad enough when we moved to this apartment 3 years ago after 14 at the other place. Luckily MrLtL did most of the sorting and culling as I was at work.:)

Starting to make progress. Started moving some things today. Wine is pretty much all boxed up and we should start moving it tomorrow evening.

My satellite connection automagically switched to HD. Satellite is useful when trying to get ABC/SBS programs before your bedtime (in WA)

Happy wandering

The house is my childhood home, and Ive lived here since 1988, so theres a lot to sort through. Just tossed what was essentially my science degree (all my notes) in the recycle bin

That makes it a bit hard. I remember when we used to visit my parents after we were married there was always a box of my 'treasures' to bring back with us. It was the parents' way of clearing out our stuff.
We boxed a lot of daughter and son's stuff and either have it stored here or handed it back it back to them - and yes that did include 5 years of Vet notes for daughter, too many soft toys to count and all her horse riding ribbons and trophies!

Definitely keeping the soft toys etc for when we have kids. Also have a dolls house etc made by my step grandfather that I would never throw out. I'd always planned to move out and leave it all behind but mum moved out first

Very careless of you

My mother sent me the cards and telegrams she received when I was born (telegrams were big then) as well as a number of my 'special things' like the gold bangle I had in hospital when 16months old (heart disease). It was cut off my wrist when I was about 9 years old.

Oh. In that case I have a truckload of treasures to give to No1 son!!!

I think you are quite a bit younger than me but it is hard - you get to a stage where you wonder if you can keep going.
A little younger but not much.

My parents retired ~47-52 years old. ~20 years ago I wanted to retire at 45 years of age. ~12 years ago that was revised to 50 years of age. ~5 years ago that was revised to 55 years of age and it has now been revised again to ~60 years of age. All due to some poor decisions and spending money when I didn't have money to spend.

I will be 53 in 1 month. I am tired. Another 7 years is too long to work for someone making them look good in their promotion quest and me getting peanuts in return.

I am glad I am not the only one with a huge stash of toys:). I figure we are about 3 years out from grandchildren and then I can start to get rid of it.....

when the kids kids mved out I made them go through their things and put in 3 piles - taking with, throwing out and to store. At the moment Dr FM and Master FM move around too much and Miss FM's house is very small, but at some point I will certainly use your trick of handing them the stored treasures to take.

As Pushka can attest I am quite a few years older, you youngster you :mrgreen:
Perhaps I hide my age well in these posts and sound like a spring chicken :)

But yes, feeling tired is a real downer.

No comment. (Which I know is completely out of character). JohnK is much younger than me.

Age is just a number. A 70 year old can feel younger than a 53 year old and a 53 year old can feel older than a 65 year old.
