And how's the donga Pushka? Five star? Club lounge?:)

Well, from the outside it's actually very nice. We just dropped bags and ran to appointments - me for apartments and he for work of course.

First apartment had masses of people and was so tiny tiny. Scrubbed. Next one is right near MCG, very nice, no aircond but a lovely swimming pool. Perfect for trams straight into city and then Bridge Road t'other way. Nice price too. No balcony but nice French windows. Very doable and application done. Then a 20 minute walk to next place - Agent rang to say he couldn't make it in time but tenants were ok to show me through. They were a delightful couple returning to the US and gave me all the ins and outs. No pool but aircond and a sweet little balcony. A few more $$ but still with tram and also a car park. I can see MCG in the distance - after all I walked past it to get to it. Will put in an application also.

Now waiting for last place on the list just off Bridge Road. A little exxy but on the outside it looks fabulous. Has pool and gym.

Oh dear. Fantastic apartment and pool but excavation and huge building site in front of bedroom and faux balcony. Can imagine the dirt and dust. Concrete not even poured yet. Shame.

A shame you have found some nice apartments - thought we may have crossed paths in a couple of weeks :)

Not really, well done if you manage to find something that suits (or suites as the case may be)
Anyway, at least it's an upside to the Jet* flight.

Well, we may have moved in by then!

air-con is pretty essential for Melbourne these days. We had 30 degrees overnight a couple weeks back.

Yes - tend to agree so that might be a factor. We currently only have aircond in our lounge in Adelaide so it wouldn't be a total disaster. Good and negatives for both. Applications sent off. One technical hitch in accommodations tonight. Single beds  I was not responsible for booking. Ahem. ;)

How does posting daily more on AFF during working hours than others manage in a week after hours, translate to quality time with your child?
I'm glad I don't pay your wages.
What's my posting rate got to do with retiring and spending quality time with my daughter?

My work gets done. Would it help if you knew that I do 25%-50% more work than most staff in our office, sometimes more, but they get paid as much as I do if not more? I have 30+ years experience in RPG and AS400 all in Australia. Most of them don't have half that experience.

Any other assumptions you'd like to share?

You ole romantic! ;)

Reminds me of when we in Tokyo a couple of years ago, and the only room the Hyatt had left had 2 single beds. (Wife had booked as a staff freebie).

OK come bedtime she pushed one bed up to the wall and said there was heaps of room for the pair of us. Good thing she is only a size 8.

That's funny :)

Just found out that me, my husband and a AFFer stalwart will be on the same Santiago>Easter Island flight in March! (edit, sitting right behind him)

For the bed posts above, there are times I purposely book twin beds for hubby and myself because travelling=tired=strange bed=just let me sleep. Especially in hot, tropical climates because we dont use air con. Cambodia, thankfully, had a king bed but even then, your side/my side. Dont touch me.

Well I hope Dame gets our Dubai and Singapore bookings correct with twins.
I just think its lovely that a lot of women, no what matter their age, or however long they have been in their relationship, just want to be close to their man.

Could I break the romantic image and put it down to habit?

Not a good start to the WRC, seems that Hayden Paddon has rolled and hit a spectator, first stage of the new season has been cancelled.
