Some people make their own rules.
Hope not, don't you have a lot on at present
Possibly sobriety?
I want time to go slow. I want to savour every moment. I don't want either of those things wasted in the office.JohnK - every minute is one extra minute you've lived!

Time to take control and enjoy my daughter growing up and not wasting it in office with people who care only for themselves....
That really gets my goat! :evil:Some people make their own rules.
When every parent is in their 20's and 30's they have their whole life ahead of them. I am at the end of my life and want to enjoy what's left. Daughter is just on 4 months and she will start crawling in a day or 2. She's already turning on her stomach in a flash. Sometimes she turns back and other times she is thinking of her next move. Yesterday she was moving backwards and sideways when she was kicking her legs about. There's things we have to do in life and work is one of them. Every parent has the same desire but money needs get in the way. It's called reality.

I drive an emergency vehicle, and in certain circumstances I can park where-ever the heck I like. I still would think twice about a disabled spot. Loading zones are fair game, though! Not something you really do unless a life or death situation. The kids on reddit are having fun as the tradies mobile number is on the side.

A bit like a few years ago (well more than a few if the truth be known) when as a teacher (girls' school) on yard duty I had a male streaker run across the oval on a very brisk winter day. He and his driver waiting on the other side both wore balaclavas but forgot to cover the rego plate on the car. Easy for police to trace and pay them (and their parents) a visit. It turned out it was a bet from a neighbouring college. From memory they got a good talking to and had to donate the bet winnings to charity
As I was chasing the streaker I did wonder what would happen if I actually caught him  Luckily I did not, even when he managed to snag himself on the boundary fence!

Ahh parking inspectors. I just "smile and wave".In a similar vein I was driving a marked police car and parked in a metered park. Just sitting in the car waiting for another person when we noticed a parking inspector. We were very green and asked him if we needed to feed the meter. . He walked off chortling.
This happened more than 10 years ago (I left teaching in 2007 or 2008) so things will have changed a lot since then and I can image a totally different course of action now. Being a girls' school it was important to call the police. Because it was so cold (5 C) most of the students were elsewhere but the few hardy smokers who would hide out in the area thought it was hysterical. None of them got anyway near the streaker who was absolutely terrified as he made his way across the oval apparently. The number of students who decided to have lunch in that quad increased exponentially the next dayIf something like that happened at our school, there may be a fair chance that a lockdown would be ordered. And when the police catch up to that person, there may be far more than a simple charity donation riding hard on his naked hide.
