Spare me; how many murders do they average an episode before the bleeding obvious person is caught just in the nick of time
As an addict of "who dun it" programmes I find the obvious person is definitely not the murderer. It's usually some minor character who only comes to the fore in last 10 minutes. Very unfair for any one trying to work it out. But I still can't resist them.
I am stuck on my computer tonight as my wife has the tennis on the big screen and my son is watching cricket on the second Foxtel connection.

Maybe the cricket?
Or the pub?
Or painting my toenails?

Edit - the cricket seems a bit of a wicket fest :(

In our backyard. Enjoying a barbecue. Around 28 degrees. Swimming pool. Listening to tennis and cricket. Sunset. This tree of our neighbours is our nemesis. Drops leaves. Nuts. Bark. All over summer. It rests on our fence. What d*ckwit would plant a gum tree right next to the fence. We can touch it. But tonight after a few rose's I'm feeling a bit of love for it at sunset.

My toenail is black. I am not touching it.

So, There's A Scientific Reason Why We Always Have Room For Dessert

"According to Russell Keast -- a professor in sensory and food science and the director of the Centre for Advanced Sensory Science at Deakin University -- there's a scientific reason for the phenomenon called sensory specific satiety, or 'dessert stomach' "

Hell I could have told them that and saved all that money it cost to find that out ! I always look at the dessert menu first and work backwards, then order

So where else in the world would you want to be?

Same place tomorrow night!

tonight somewhat predictable and not very exciting match. $3.7 million for hour and a half and just two sets. Nice work if you can get it (and are talented enough).

Justin Langer should be the Australian Cricket Coach. He has always been the consummate professional cricketer.

Did I mention our eldest son bowled him in a game of backyard cricket in his early Test days? :p.

But WOW! The doubles match that followed was absolutely awesome - the speed, skill and reflexes of those guys were just breathtaking - and to top it off no boring baseline smashes back and forth, no grunting, just superb skills on display.

I am looking forward to meeting you, mrs.dr.ron. I believe we are kindred spirits.

(Yes I know I should have multi-quoted, but ...)

Would you like to duck over to the grammar thread? ;)

Annual leave? What's that? Every day, 365 days a year is a potential work for day for me, depends on what the client asks, and the time they give me to do it.
It's great to work for yourself and even greater if you can travel overseas for work.

I've been thinking about a part time business. Opening a small Thai restaurant, lawn mowing, washing and ironing service or something similar. If doing that it will be difficult to travel 4-5 times/year. So while there is some flexibility in working for yourself it does limit one's ability to travel.

The problem as I see it JohnK is to find a business that will generate good income but still allow flexibility for the travel you want - not an easy task I would think

John, John, John, restaurant, washing and ironing service - I presume this means your wife is working long hours AND with a new baby !!!!

The busiest place in our upmarket local shopping village is Manicure and Pedicure. Always flat out.
