Can you give an example of the charges for a game of golf DOM vs INT?
You can play say St Lucia in Brisbane for around $40 + cart hire if you don't want to walk. Assuming you'd also have your own transport.

For some courses in Thailand the green fees are THB400, caddy fee of THB350 and cart fee of THB600 which would be ~AUD50. The taxi could be anything from THB700 to THB1,700 or ~AUD30-70.

You play some of the better courses and the cheapest golf package would be upwards of THB2,500. And then add transport on top.

Organised golf in Pattaya costs me ~THB2,600 or ~AUD100 to THB3,900 or ~AUD150. That includes breakfast, transport, prizes, drink on return to golf bar. I am playing 6 games in March.

I would drive people around in a golf cart for free. My dream job is to drive one at Changi.

When we went to Lady Elliot Island a few years ago, I would regularly commandeer a large golf cart and drive snorklers around the island.

I'm assuming mum was told when they were, but either way no one passed the message along. If I hadn't found them myself things could have been interesting given at 10am on a Saturday we could still be in bed...

I went to a couple of open houses at one particular house about 7 years ago. It was being rented.

The first time, I noticed some adult magazines in the master bedroom - as in, on the bedside table, I was not going through drawers or looking in odd places!
The second open house, the agent had an assistant standing next to the main bedroom, and no-one could enter. I believe the occupant of the main bedroom was hungover and in bed.:p

(BTW, I am not suggesting you might have adult magazines on display anywhere in your home!!! It just reminded me of one of the more interesting open house experiences I've had)

I plan on being either in the kitchen prepping food or in the sewing room dealing with fabric. If I catch anyone going through drawers or cupboards there will be hell to pay
With three pets, our house is never going to look like a display home....

My wife loved going to golf with me and she would drive the cart.

The townhouse next to us at the time was up for sale (circa 2009).

The tenant had left his bong (with "used" water remaining) sitting on the bedside table.

I have been looking a Grammar school for my daughter. Yes she's too young to start but want to get an idea if cost. Not cheap but I found them using component pricing even though you have no choice but to pay everything.

- Application fee for new enrollments
- Enrollment fee
- Annual Tuition fee
- Compulsory levies and excursions including General Levies, Sports Levies, the IT levy and levies costs for excursions and camps
- Extra levies for year 1, a year 12 Formal charge and years 9-12 have subject specific levies
- A voluntary building fund levy

 Too difficult to include all charges in one figure? There is a discount for paying lump sum before first day of school. ;)

I sometimes wonder where nycguy and bossreggie are. I hope they are ok too.

cove and I spoke about nycguy a couple of weeks ago. Last I knew their partner was very ill with cancer...

Didn't bossreggie do a sayonara and move to England? His stories used to motivate me to get into the pointy end - never really thinking I'd get there! Glad I was wrong.
No, bossreggie lives in AKL now but had a similar issue to you and was grounded for a while. I'm still in loose contact with him.

FOR SALE

1 x Complete set Callaway Big Bertha Combo Set Golf Clubs - Semi Pro Version - Slightly used, hit well, great feel and control, minor damage to club face edges.

Forced sale due to impending school fees - I am really only selling them because I got married a year ago and my wife no longer lets me play golf. Actually she doesn’t let me do anything fun. So I’m hoping I can find them a good home. Preferably id like to sell them to a single guy who has no intention of ever getting married, but I know that’s not completely fair.

Spare bag and driver I can throw in there too for free.

Contact via pm please. Looking to get $500, but realistically it doesn’t matter how much they sell for since the money will go towards my daughters education and buying my wife more useless stuff.

JohhnyK.

Oh Cruiser you made my day. Now I don't have to worry about [-]Tititular[/-] Titular issues anymore and just worry about getting back my manhood that was taken away before my prime....

Oh and there are 2 spare golf bags, many gloves, thousands of golf balls and tees and 2 ball retrievers.

During WW II - Lockheed (unbelievable 1940s pictures). This is a version of special effects during the 1940's.
I have never seen these pictures or knew that we had gone this far to protect ourselves.
During World War II the Army Corps of Engineers needed to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant to protect it from a possible Japanese air attack.
They covered it with camouflage netting to make it look like a rural subdivision from the air.

After..

The person I received this from said she got back an interesting story about someone's mother who worked at Lockheed, and she as a younger child, remembers all this.
And to this day, it is the first pictures of it she's seen.

Another person who lived in the area talked about as being a boy, watching it all be set up like a movie studio production.
They had fake houses, trees, etc. and moved parked cars around so it looked like a residential area from the skies overhead.

Note.... I lived in North Long Beach during World War II, I was 13 years old. (1940) The Long Beach airport was near Lakewood , CA .
There was a large Boeing Plant there. If you would drive down
Carson St.going south you could drive under the camouflage netting.

I am 85 and had much of my pilot training in Calif. I have been under this net and have seen it from the air.
During preflight training I rode a bus under the net and was very surprised as I didn't know it was there.
It was strong enough to walk on and they hired people to ride bicycles and move around as if they lived there to make it look authentic.
