And a nice dip it was too. Missed the pool while working too hard in Hong Kong.

How can you miss the pool in Hong Kong? Surely it's not much harder to avoid jumping and hitting the concrete no matter where you are in the world.

Plus, you're not that old.

Just installed Google Chrome on my work machine.

It's a nice alternative to FF. Installed a healthy (!!) plethora of extensions already.

Only thing I'm getting used to is tab positioning and control.

Haven't tested out plugins (e.g. Java, Adobe Flash, etc.) yet, but otherwise so far, I could live with Chrome.

I’d say you’d have to have an extremely bad swing to break a window in this house. We are behind the tee to a par 3, with a lake separating the course from the house, so you’d need to hit backwards a fair bit ;)

If you come see the Ladies Masters in Feb/March, I’d be happy to have anyone over for a beer.
Dangerous offer there samh004. I used to come every year to see Karrie Webb (when she was engaged to her caddy, a friend of mine). Then she turned and batted for the other side .

Talking of golf, does anyone know where the Jack Newton Classic is now held ? (If it still is)
It started up here at the Noosa/Tewantin Club, then moved to Novotel Twin Waters at Mudjimba for a long time, then one season here at Peregian Springs Club, since then I taint heard hair nor hide of it..............

Cheers Dee
Now held at Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley.

Well you’d be welcome to come over if you come down for any of it!

I think the best part is the cricket match on the last day tbh :p

Depends what one has consumed for/after dinner

My kids seem to have a different perspective on that topic

I thought Chrome was the pits and have uninstalled it already. :(

Just hate the name - sounds like an electronic feminine hygeine product.......

Glad I wasn't the only 1 thinking that!
When iSnack was released, I thought it was some sort of device Apple had invented to let you taste food directly off electronic ads on screens.:lol::oops:

In other news, never try manouvering into tiny parking spots if not good at parking to begin with - the car got scratched (by a pillar). :(

It's like a badge of honour for any new car - that flawless paint never lasts....

You have obviously never seen me play.I remember one social day-wonderful worm burner-hit the ladies tee-came straight back-just cleared my bosses head-ended up 100 metres behind me-i am sure your plsace would be in range.
You wouldn’t want to play with me though, if the ball ends up somewhere I don’t like, I simply pick it up and put it where it should have landed ;)
You sound like my sort of player-we could sign each others card :lol::cool:;)

Are you someone who tries to back into every parking spot?

I'm horrible with reversing, so I drive into every parking spot then reverse out.

I find that Chinatown and other areas of concentrated Asian shops (e.g. Brisbane's Sunnybank, not sure about Melbourne's Box Hill) have the tightest parking spots in the city.

Using the stereotype of Asian's not being very good drivers (which I find funny, have you ever been to Vietnam or Indonesia?! Amazing!); that's just asking for trouble!:lol::shock:

Unfortunately I don’t have a handicap in Australia, it was easy to get one in HK, but from what I understand, tournament play is needed here to get one, and that’s not my kind of golf. I play in a relaxed manner, I don’t need to be stressed and competing :)

I’m not sure why anyone would want to do that. It’s much easier to drive straight in and reverse out.
