Well I got my hair cut on the gold coast over the weekend and so went to the cheapest-a chain.so I had to give my name, phone number and date of birth in case I ever go back. When I gave my date of birth the young thing at the counter said-"Wow you're an old one."

I would refuse to give them this much. They don't need to know your birth date but someone building a data base to steal identity already has 3 of the your data point.

My massage place tried similar, I asked them up provide proof of their data security encryption and they had none.

Just rude I think. On all counts. Nice customer relations there.

My hairdresser knows nothing about me other than the treatments I have and my phone number for emergency contact.

To which my automatic reply would be"

"Comments like that may limit your life expectancy!"

Or, if I counted to ten:

"Yes, it helps never making comments like that!"

Probably simpler to say "So I get the age/pensioner discount then do I?"

I need a haircut but happy to wait 2 weeks and get a haircut in Pattaya. They don't usually ask for name and number. ;)

Channel Seven reported on the QF A380 with engine trouble ex LAX. They reported that QF, Boeing and the ATSB will be investigating.

What sort of emergency may ensue after a haircut or treatment that they need to contact you? :p

I don't want to find out that side of the appointment
It's in case she's sick on the day.

More likely that the hairdresser is ill and so can't do the cut. I used to get messages in that situation as there was only one cutter who did my hair; either that or perhaps the salon has suddenly gone out of business

Why are you concerned. Most journalist pieces about aviation tend to have a picture of a different aircraft than the aircraft in the question. At least they seem to know what an airplane is supposed to look like.
Best to let them continue in their ignorance

Flying back into ROK last night noted a VA 737 there.I just thought must have been a lot of folks escaping the place for the weekend but apparently a diversion of a MKY-BNE flight because of a bad smell.

Back to work already! Only seems like Friday I bumped into you on the reverse flight :D

Yes I was also escaping for the weekend.
Happiness is boarding a plane at ROK!

The boss does mine, can't remember the last time I paid.

If we're talking about haircuts, mine does my hair. Thai women are pretty adept at most things including wielding a pair of scissors. Other advantages include being able to get an appointment pretty much any time and no waiting. :)

My wife does a very good job trimming unwanted hair and cutting nails. May let her practice haircuts using the Hair clipper that hasn't been used for 16 years. Can't do too much wrong with a number 1 or number 2 clip. They say the difference between a bad and good haircut is 1 week right?

My husband wont let me cut his hair but I do wax his ears :) The things that start growing after 20yrs of marriage.

Hes not happy about me doing this but I dont care.
