I also didn't move house but had an unexpected burst of energy which involved cleaning places such as behind washing machine and dryer; on hands and knees scrubbing floors; vacuuming places that hadn't seen suction in months etc etc. Then weeding the garden, cleaning out the gutters and cleaned the fish pond.

Don't know what came over me, really. :shock:

I think we can all just walk away from the Cassie story and let the Colombian courts sort it out. Just hope as tax payers we don't have to get involved. So much detail left out of the original story which we all pretty much surmised. But play in the big boy rackets and you are the one who gets to carry the can when it hits the fan. Sacrificial pawn.

My Haan steam cleaner means I dont have to scrub floors anymore. Saves me lots of time.

I also hit the weeds in the garden but with roundup.

Oh and if anyone does have a steamer, you can steam kill your weeds if you dont want to be as destructive with Roundup. It does work., you just need the nozzle thingy on your steamer.

Yup, when they were installed, one of our admins had to send out an email with the instructions on how to use them. When we moved offices to the Valley, some people asked if we would have Totos there as well - not realising that it was the Japanese building management at 192 Ann St would had renovated the bathrooms, and our new building has different owners/management.

Recent positive experience with Apple:
Kids 3 year old MacBook had a cracked screen. Went to local Apple Store Genius Bar without an appointment. Told approx 3 hour wait. Went to YumCha got an SMS 1 hour later a Genius Bar time which was 20min later Went to Genius Bar. At the appointed time an Apple consultant came to me and said "are you QS". How did they know who I am in the midst of about 20 people waiting at the GB Desk is a bit creepy.
Told them the problem, did a diagnostic, said yes screen cracked at the LCD level (surface glass not cracked). $760 to replace. No problems. Handed over laptop. Got email notification re work authorisation. Said will take up to 3 days.
Got an email this morning at 0800 to say laptop ready to be picked up. Turn around time 18 hours or so
None of this retailer have to send away to repair agent and get back to you in 2 weeks or more palava

I thought we would be moving on from the Schapelle era now we got to put up with Cocaine Cassie. Luckily I have turned off Channel 0,2,7,9,10. Now just on Netflix and new from non traditional sources.

In the first week I had made up my mind.
Her flights to and from Colombia via LHR on a ticket bought in HKG.
Only left her hotel room twice briefly in all her stay.
Not consistent with a working holiday or simple tourism.
She knew what she was doing.
Pathetic that TV channels pay for this cr*p.
But the government does fund legal cases overseas even for murderers and rapists.Therefore she should be able to get legal help with Government assistance.

Oh, I'm a round-upper, don't worry! But these weeds were growing through ground cover, so had to resort to manual labour, which is why I had put it off for so long. The floor scrub was mainly all the fiddly corners and other usually missed places. Quite impressive, if I do say so myself; Pity not another soul will ever notice.
But for all my virtuousness, the bloody hot watet cylinder has gone now. :evil:

I managed four loads of washing over the weekend with one more to go. If no one saw it, did it really happen?

Have you tried the RUP Gel? You can target weeds in the middle of a patch of other plants. I can send you a sample if you want to PM me a postal address.

Anyone here use Air Tasker? Had arranged someone to come do a job at home today, complete no show and not answering messages. Thankfully someone else was able to do it almost straight away.

We hired a cleaner through them. She had good reviews and rating. She turned up on time and did a great job.

They put notes in the job info - eg old lady grey hair pink T shirt (that's me not you) because I was watching them one day (they didn't actually put in old lady )

Why give them anything except your money?

Unless I believe a company needs any personal details they don't get them. If they insist I go elsewhere.

My regular hairdresser is a small business who welcome me back without me providing any details. And they do a haircut and beard trim for $15.
