Not much of a gardener, but walked out this morning to hang up some washing and the rain last night had brought down leaves. It all looked so pretty I couldn't resist taking a photo. The reds have been particularly vibrant in Canberra this year - possibly the unusually warm autumn.

Am off to a family reunion tonight - should be a hoot! If I told you where we held our family reunions in years gone by do you all promise not to laugh?'

It won't take long though.

The reactive cruise control in my car is already better than most drivers out there.
I'm sure you're right. Won't be long before all cars will be driverless. Which is probably a good thing eliminating the non existing driving skills of many who hold a licence.

Life is moving quickly. Perhaps too quickly. Almost as if it's all under control.

One of the things I really love about the UK - really pretty in Autumn.

Not much else to say really.

1/2 a kilo bought at Coles yesterday for IIRC $2.50/kilo
We also picked 4 bags yesterday and there is more still on the tree.

The birds were not happy, they were chatting very loudly while we were picking fruit.

Go on....tell us :).....................We used to have family reunions every two years at an oval at Caulfield - this was in the 1950s though.
How embarrassing - would you believe ................ the ZOO!

Wasn't 50s but was 60s and 70s - way over the 'What in the gorilla enclosure?' - 'And they let you out afterwards?' jokes! Last night was at Amberroom at Royce Hotel - a MEL location quite a few AFFers know.

But did you guys know the history of the Royce Hotel? Google that - interesting reading.

Anybody else watching the Bombers V Weagles game right? Bombers way on top - BUT - the real highlight is Eleni Glouftsis - first female AFL Field Umpire in history - what a wonderful achievement!

The zoo's not that bad. Great place for kids.
Here's a snap from one of the reunions in the 50's - love the cups of tea (and note the saucers). I remember we all wore name tags which gave the family connection. It's me with cousins and brothers - sister was still a babe in arms. You can guess which one is moi :) The last reunion (after a long interval) was just before we moved to Canberra in the early 80's.

Went on Stubhub to get two tickets to Annie in London. Everywhere else said SOLD OUT so we are thinking thank goodness for scalpers reselling. Sure Annie is an old show and I liked it about 35 years ago. There are stars performing in this show.

9 bags of mandarins picked from the tree this morning.
Nothing like home grown fruits/vegetables.

I used to love strawberries. Had some at work monthly celebrations through the week and there was no taste.

The Cassie Sainsbury saga is just getting out of hand with lawyers and TV channels fighting an injunction in court.

The fiance, sister and mother are really not helping her position by signing exclusives with the TV channels and selling their stories before "Cocaine Cassie" even had a chance to do what she needs to do in court.

I hope that means Australia doesn't need to help a suspected drug mule with any real funding.

I don't think so. The fiance, sister and mother have TV channel largesse, not her.
Again the only winners are lawyers and so called journalists.

As 7,9 both get revenue from advertising we are all paying for it in the end
