Yep, VFF points and I'm not ready for a RTW jaunt yet. I've looked into it but then lost the will to live.

Is anyone else having trouble with hotmail.com for emails today.

Some spam emails seem to come through on the phone but I can't access via the web.

Haven't been able to get it to open on my work computer but works fine on my own laptop.

Well there's the thing. You don't forget it. Well, I wouldn't anyway. Memories are priceless.

I doubt I'm going to forget my recent experience in EK F for a long time now.

I've mastered the churning of cards for FF points - now I need to master the hotel minefield so I don't end up staying in dodgy 3* hotels

Ironic situation I find myself in returning from Thailand early October searching for economy awards.

Qantas awards have dried up. No availability at all with Mileage Plus. Economy availability with KrisFlyer is Waitlist only but business class availability is wide open.

You'd think someone had me in mind.

Never seen a Tiger Snake behind those SQ J cushions Johnny so don't be afraid to book one on them J Saver rdpts. Hell knows you might even enjoy that SKL J Lounge with showers and all inside.

Only John can be in J and upset it's not Y. :)

I noticed SQ had a lot of available J flights, last I looked at least one way was wait list but I could find return flights today.

I've been in the SilverKris Lounge a few times. Sorry Cruiser but it's not that special. Plus I don't have that many Amex MR points and I'm not wasting them on a few hours flying on my own.

One-way SQ economy is ~$700 or QF economy ~$650. I'd have taken JQ but with golf clubs and luggage it's more expensive than QF. Who ever thought that LCCs were cheaper?

I have been trying to restore access to my Hotmail for some time - but without luck. Despite giving them a heap of information to verify it as my account, still failing :(

Funny how nightmares/ scary dreams rattle you. I seriously can never remember having one but woke this morning with one. Dreamt someone grabbed my arm when I was standing at bathroom sink. I screamed but no noise came out so screamed again - the person doing nothing to stop me. This time I woke up screaming.

Seems to work out in Chrome but not in Firefox for me. Now failing on my laptop as well, though works again if I go to outlook.com rather than hotmail.com

I heard on the weekend that all hotmail accounts were being migrated to outlook.com; I have no other information (such as timeframes) on that.

It was third party and I never used hotmail after its early days as I did not like the ads my recipients were subjected to.

Thanks JohnK!. You demonstrate that enjoyable travel whether paid or via FF points can be attained in Y. Nothing wrong with that!. That's what's good about forums like AFF - wide ranging experiences in ALL cabin classes. You don't have to be rich to enjoy travel and bend the rules!!

It's all relative.

SQ business is 55,000 miles, SQ economy is 28,000 miles. Business is perhaps 10% better than economy at a stretch 25% better than economy but no way is it twice as good as economy. Business for me is a novelty. It is not the only way to travel.

I enjoy travel. I enjoy travelling in economy. I try to stretch my budget as far as possible.

At my age JohnK, I find Y quite uncomfortable and I'm only 5'10 and 70kg. For me I reckon that J is twice as good as Y, especially in refurb 330 to BKK, or other long haul flights.

I am surprised that you say that for you business is a novelty - I would have thought you have had many biz class flights.

I noticed today that the house up the road is advertised as the next suburb over.

So, example only/not actual suburbs, although situated in Concord, its advertised as Cabarita (more expensive/nicer suburb). Its right on the border but advertised as the suburb its within a street of but not the actual suburb its situated in.

Hmmmmm
