No, show is at 1pm on Sunday. 2 hour drive each way for us, but think nothing of doing that. Even considered getting the train, but will make the decision the day before.
We used to stay at the Novotel when the kids had state sports, was much less stress than driving down on the day and getting caught in traffic.

What about the ferry to? I think there is a shuttle bus during the day from the wharf.

2hr drive, uggh. My niece is moving 6hrs drive away, I told her that anything more than 4hrs requires a plane ride.

JohnK - my personal suggestion - consider Hong Kong Disneyland when Little Miss is little, rather than Disneyland or Disney World. I've heard great things about it being wonderful for small kids in particular, as well as other kids. We first did Disneyland with my Little Miss at 4yo; it's more enjoyable when they're older and can last the day. I waited until she was almost 9yo before we went to WDW - it's SO big, I recommend the children being at least 8 before going there. Lots of travel time between parks, etc, so much larger than Disneyland.

My 2 cents - of course, you three do as you wish/prefer!! :)
I was thinking at least 6 years old before taking her to the USA theme parks as I want her to have memories. Hong Kong Disneyland is a good idea and is close by.

And you may find the tickets to the Parks to be more expensive than the flights. We are taking the grandkids to Disneyworld next January-and their parents. So 5 adults-the 12 year old is an adult to Disney-and 2 kids for 4 days of single park tickets came to over $4000.
Oh wow. Didn't realise they were that expensive. They really know how to gouge.

Oh and hope that includes tip. ;)

When are you and mrs.dr.ron in Chiang Rai? I've booked accommodation for 2 nights. We arrive Saturday afternoon 08 July and leave around lunchtime 10 July. We're not far from your hotel if I've got the dates right.

Maybe dinner Saturday or Sunday night?

I suspect that you might have trouble keeping Dr and Mrs Ron away from your wife and daughter. :)
My wife and daughter get along quite well with both of them. May have to find a way to keep me away. ;)

We're heading back to BKK in August... looks like we miss the party bus.
I am there for parts of June, July, September, October and November. You have done quite well to avoid me.

To clarify :D. My like means that I empathise and not Mrs GPH was misdirected :(

I also get the feeling that older women are treated as though they are not really knowing what they are doing.

No offence taken.
You're right about the treatment though mrs GPH likes VERY casual / comfortable wear when traveling, so not dressed to the nines. I suspect she is also perceived as "Not the type" when boarding!

Women in their 60+ age seem to develop a high invisibility index when they go shopping. Lots of shop assistants seem to want to serve a 20 something lady first. Have you noticed this too?

Mrs GPH ( who isn't 60 yet btw). :-)
Had an interesting experience when shopping for a new handbag. She couldn't decide which of the 2 or 3 she liked the most and announced that she would wait for me to arrive. ( I have no idea about handbags). Anyway the SA decided that was because she needed "permission " to buy. She came withIn an ace of losing the sale.

I bought Mrscove a Michael Kors bag several years ago and she loved the MK on that bag as it is her name initials. Her latest bag is a Tous from South Coast Plaza. Bags and shoe buying .........a never ending journey it seems.

Mmmmmm seat guru accurate on a321 exit rows?
Service desk says row 25/26.....seatguru says 24/25????
I'm hoping Jetstar system is more accurate???

My husband just phoned to advise me that Friday 2nd June is Donut Day and hes going to bring my office fresh donuts on Friday.

Sadly, Randys Donuts in LA has ruined me for all other donuts.

Last time we were in David Jones at Pacific Fair I was looking at something near the handbags when Ron spotted a handbag on sale and he said to me "look at that " and he was right I looked at it and bought it. I have finally trained him to know what I like in a bag - it has only taken me 46 years

Every year I torture my husband when he asks what I would like for my birthday with, "I want a Burberry bag".

2 weeks ago he said "Maybe we'll get you that Burberry bag for your birthday this year".

Me: You are NOT spending that much money on a hand bag!

Poor guy, cant win.

Spent an hour on the phone this morning trying to organise to exchange some faulty shoes. Apparenlty "if no one answers the phone, theyre busy" is good customer service these days. Frustrting that the onus is on the customer to track down a store with stock to exchange something bought online.

Welcome to the new world.

FWIW - I would never buy shoes online - yes I am old school - but I want to feel those suckers on my feet - same with clothes - I actually enjoy going out shopping and interacting with real live people - you young'uns are welcome to online shopping for personal items.
