Welcome to the new world.

FWIW - I would never buy shoes online - yes I am old school - but I want to feel those suckers on my feet - same with clothes - I actually enjoy going out shopping and interacting with real live people - you young'uns are welcome to online shopping for personal items.

I buy the same brand/size/style, so I know what to expect. Plus I can return easily if they dont fit. As much as I love shopping in store, I dont always have the time (or the discount is online only....a bit like wine orders :p).

Frustrting that the onus is on the customer to track down a store with stock to exchange something bought online.

So which is it? It's hard to track down the store to exchange or you can easily return if they don't fit? ;)

I thought it was Tommy in that household who continually talks in riddles!

And you may find the tickets to the Parks to be more expensive than the flights. We are taking the grandkids to Disneyworld next January-and their parents. So 5 adults-the 12 year old is an adult to Disney-and 2 kids for 4 days of single park tickets came to over $4000.
Try booking DW tickets through few other outlets. We found one that was aimed at the UK market but was not exclusive to the UK. Tickets were (from memory) about half price.

There was a thread about DW pricing and details on AFF some time ago.

It's easy to return (not exchange) an item that doesnt fit.

I'm finding it hard to exchange the faulty item as they've gone on sale and stocks are limited, and Myer have made me ring around to find stock rather than doing it for me.

Not that hard to understand two completely different situations.

Beware: a lot of DW "tickets" are no more than just vouchers - especially the TA ones. The problem with vouchers is you have to queue up to redeem them for the real ticket before queuing up to get into park
Also the very cheap ones are often partly used multiday ticket which may be invalid- caveat emptor - scams essentially

It seems that JohnK has been sharing his luck with us at the moment.

I am typing this from the smallest spare bedroom in our house. It's now 10C outside with an apparent of 5.1C and 14C inside the house. Using our only column heater this room this room is now up to 16C as our central heating has failed.

Our daughter, husband and family (who I mentioned in the previous post) are in Mexico and they all have Typhoid Fever. Fortunately it was caught early and they are recovering well.

We also have issues with all 3 cars etc, etc

A VERY frustrating time here at the moment.

So my MIL could save $800 on her yearly insurance if she removes the no access payable from her house insurance.

Considering she hasnt made a claim in over 20yrs AND excess is only $500, win. Right?

Nope. My husband tried to explain it to her in 2 languages and she refuses to listen to the logic.

In the meantime, shes knocking on our door at 7am this morning because Telstra is charging her $100 too much and wants hubby/her son to sort it out (and quite rightly but meanwhile, $800 over there is being wasted).

Thanks. I forgot to mention that.

There are a lot of dodgy deals out there but also a bunch of good deals.

The link to the UK aimed tickets is in the post I linked to.

Ugg boots, polartec and rug up? We dont use a heater at home except for a day or two of extreme cold per year

OMG, very scary. I hope they are on the mend and comfortable!

Hope things improve for all soon.

I know it sounds unbelievable but our price is basically identical to the UK price quoted in that thread.Plus it contains a couple of other goodies as staying inside DW.Believe me we researched it as this trip has been in the pipeline for some time.Helped by the fact we have a niece who is a TA and a Disney fanatic.

Yep.

Last Feb, when it hit 45+dec, my husband hid the air con remote from me to stop me from turning it on.

Would normally agree with you, I prefer service in person, but sometimes the savings stack up online.

A mate in Armidale (NSW) told me it was -4 there yesterday morn! That's getting nipply Johnny.
I was struggling to handle Brisbane this morning. Armidale will have to wait.

It seems that JohnK has been sharing his luck with us at the moment.
I wasn't intentional. I'm usually quite selfish.

P.S. Does Skype credit only last 12 months? Loaded $16 in November 2016 and have a balance of $12 right now but warning appears saying credit will expire November 2017.

Remember the opening times relate to the opening of the first ride. The resort gates open a lot earlier. If you are the first ones there you will be behind the rope held by 2 attendants. The rope goes to the first ride open for the day.

We did 9 consecutive space mountain rides without queuing before the main crowd arrived.
As I'm not into rides I was the fastpass coordinator - getting all the fastpass as the opportunity arises. Often at the other side of the park. We had maximum rides for minimum queue.

Also you will never see Mickey at any of the breakfast with the characters - these are a con and is just a way of spreading out the crowds through the park.

Also note that the DW park where it's on an island and you have to get a paddle steamer across to the park. The paddle steamer is outside the park. There will be a queue to to get past the ticket turnstiles, then a queue tto get on the paddle steamer and then you queue to get into resort.

Get there 1 hour before official opening and you should be OK.

That's been my experience
