There was chatter on here a couple of weeks ago about how Qantas addresses us and in what order.
Just had a flight change for our family of 6 booking.
Booked under my name and QFF points, but email addressed to Miss Adler (DIL to be) and continues in strict alphabetical order.

I'm surprised Red Balloon has offered me a further 90 days to use the $300 credit.

Don't ever let things go. Send email first then take it from there.

The good news is that Red Balloon is still going. I've heard about work bonus gift cards being given for shops that ended up in financial difficulties afterwards where the gift card could only be partly redeemed or not redeemed at all.

Well done for all your hard work. I hope you get to use some of your reward.

Red balloon cards would be useless to us as it would cost us money (loss of income, petrol etc expenses, childcare) in order to use the credit.

I just rechecked our email advice about our changed DOH trip in a couple of weeks and my email and name is in the email which would be strict alphabetical too.

yes when we flew to Sydney a few weeks ago, Qantas ignored all the contact information in the booking and the fact that I was passenger 1 and the contact and contacted Mr FM. I took this up with Qantas (being in that sort of mood). They assured me that what the system does is sort the booking in strict alphabetical. So Mr FM and I have the same surname, but his first name is 6 places before mine in the alphabet, so he goes first. Then they use all the contact information from the FF account.

they suggested that they remove all his contact information, so that mine will then be used. His email address is already mine, so they removed his phone no. It was amazingly cooperative of them over a very petty complaint on my part!

I had actually already tried to change his phone no to mine, but it wanted a verification code via a SMS to his phone, but that never arrived. I must go and try and see if I can add my phone no, now his has been deleted - I don't like there to be no phone number for the rare timesI let him travel without me. Is this the ultimate in being a control freak?

Met with my SIL today who was very sad. The SA girl who was murdered through the London terrorist act was a good friend of my niece and my nephew had taken her as his date to his school formal. They met through their swimming club and my niece was her coach. My SIL posted a condolence on her family Facebook page and shortly after the Australian and News.com.au contacted her for her 'story'. She refused saying it was disrespectful to the family. Somewhat taken aback the Australian reporter then asked for the coaches name. They are only after 'their story'. And I can't help but think the media creates the environment in which terrorism thrives.

Yes the recent chatter was the based on the assumption that whoeverQantas sends the booking to is the most important/valuable person in that booking. I spoke to my wife about this and this is what she said:
"No one sends anything to the Queen directly. Correspondence has to go through the private secretary or PA first and so it's obvious I'm not the private secretary"

I have just got into HKG from KUL, and it is kinda weird that I don't have access to any CX lounges. Next flight is on *A so currently in the United Club.

That's very sad to hear. Hope that your SIL and family take things gently for the next little while.

I just don't get the media's attitude but then again everyone seems to want to hear the stories of those affected so maybe it's a bit like chicken and the egg.

The TG lounge there is quite nice next door to the UA club. There's also SQ down the other end.

I didn't have quite enough time for a lounge run as the flight in was delayed.

Currently on the airport train from KIX. The first time I have left an airport precinct since Sunday.

Slept for 11 hours last night. Had 13 pars today. Trying to work out if the 2 are related....

Congratulations! Beautiful photo

We also eloped, fantastic decision. Not sure if its 100% legal but oh well, not going to test it either.
